Miller Manor Guest House is a newly renovated retreat on the grounds of the historic 1860s Miller Manor. Blending original character with modern comfort, it offers a quiet, relaxing stay close to everything Mount Vernon has to offer. Walkable to downtown and the bike path, near Kenyon College and MVNU, and just 25 minutes from Mohican State Park and Snow Trails—perfect for getaways, visiting family, or outdoor adventures.

The space
The guest house comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests. Three bedrooms have one queen bed, and one bedroom has two full beds.

Free street parking is typically easy and available directly in front of the home. Please note there is a short flight of steps to access the entrance, which may not be suitable for guests with mobility limitations.

Designed for both short and extended stays, the space includes fast Wi-Fi, a smart TV with streaming apps, a washing machine and dryer, ironing and board.

The kitchen is thoughtfully stocked with stainless steel cookware, salt, pepper, oil for cooking, and delicious coffee. We have dinnerware for 8 people including forks, knives, spoons, cups, wine glasses, plates, bowls, and coffee mugs.

Organic cotton linens, neutral palettes, and abundant natural light create a calm, uncluttered atmosphere. A small collection of inspirational art + photo books adds a personal, creative touch. Along with a chess/checkers set, a deck of playing cards, and a record player with built in bluetooth.

We are proudly dog-loving. Good dogs are always welcome, with dog blankets for lounging, two stainless steel bowls, and access to an unfenced in yard. We simply ask that dogs are respectful of the space and furnishings.

The guest house is ideal for visiting Kenyon, MVNU, Mohican, the Bike Path, Snow Trails, weekend getaways, or longer, slower stays. Whether you’re here for a quick visit or a longer stay, the house is designed to support everyday routines. This is a comfortable, and intentional home designed for slowing down and settling in.

The Guest House sits on the grounds of Miller Manor, a historic home and creative space. While you may occasionally see light activity on the property, the Guest House itself is a private, separate space reserved entirely for your stay.

Guests are welcome to enjoy the spacious yard behind the Guest House—perfect for relaxing, letting your dog roam, or simply taking in the quiet surroundings. Please note that the yard is not fenced, so we recommend keeping a close eye on pets.

The Manor itself is not part of the Guest House rental and may be used periodically for creative work or small gatherings.
