The space
California King memory foam mattress is located in main loft, and there is a single sleeper foam pad in the smaller reading-nook loft. This single sleeping spot will only be made up into a bed with sheets for a rental of two people IF REQUESTED beforehand. Otherwise it will be set up for lounging and reading during your stay, as we will assume the 2 guests are sharing king bed. Kitchen has a mini fridge with a freezer, 2 burner stove top, toaster oven, coffee maker, french press and all the plates, pots & pans, silverware and mugs needed to make and enjoy your meals. We also have some spices, condiments and cooking extras in the kitchen that you are free to use. Couch and small dining area for two also located on main floor with kitchen. Propane BBQ, picnic table and fire pit on patio outside. Path from front porch goes to your own private Barrel Sauna and cold plunge shower. Perfect after a day of island adventure.

On island food options: The main island store at the ferry landing is currently open Seven days a week and serves food, beer and wine, and sells limited grocery items.

There is also a small store at the Guemes Island Resort on the North tip of the island, that sells beer, wine, and alcohol, and limited food items (like frozen pizzas!) It is open daily from 9 - 7pm and is a 15 minute drive from the Tiny house.

We opted to charge you no cleaning fee to make pricing simpler. Rest assured,
we pay our cleaner well. (~8x minimum wage) So feel good providing part time work to our community!

Also, as of August 2021, the tiny house as well as our whole property is 100% solar powered by a net metering system installed on site.

Other things to note
This tiny house is also a makers house, featuring curated items made from artists and craftsman. It is a unique way to showcase handmade goods that you can use and admire during your stay. We have a notebook filled with info on where to find them online and in stores if you wish to purchase any for yourself.

Guemes island is a wonderful place to explore. Walk, hike, ride your bike, or enjoy fantastic beach walks. It's a great place to enjoy nature. There are many eagles and deer to see, and the smell of ocean air is all around you.

If you want to stay cozy inside, enjoy a large selection of dvd's we have on hand in the tiny house for you to enjoy on the flat screen tv.

We have wireless internet, but please keep in mind this is ISLAND INTERNET, meaning our speeds here are nothing like a city and sometimes (not too often) service slows and cuts out intermittently.

Neighborhood highlights

Guemes is home to 650 full time year-round residents and has a wonderful island community. We have one main store on the island that provides amenities you may need like beer and wine, food items and gas right above the ferry landing. Open 7 days a week. There are two large grocery stores in Anacortes, and we recommend buying your food items at one of them before catching the ferry to Guemes. The Guemes Resort on North Beach also has a "tiny" store where you can find the best selection of beer and wine on the island.

My husband and I both live and work through the woods just up the driveway from the Tiny House and usually will be home to answer any questions you have unless we have specified otherwise.
