Located on a quiet street of the picturesque Racquet Club Estates, this compound by famed architect William Krisel with a 3-bedroom main house and 800 sqft casita greets you with classic 1960’s charm and authentic style.

Designated by the city of Palm Springs as a Class 4 Historic Landmark due to its perfectly preserved iconic butterfly roofline and shadow & breeze block walls, the home was featured in the coffee table book ‘Palm Springs Mid-Century Modern.’

The space
The Desert Monarch blends tasteful interior furniture and accents with modern amenities. The home features a central sound system, convenient appliances, smart home controls, a huge TV for movie nights, a gas fireplace, and ultrafast WiFi throughout.

The main house has an open floor-plan living room, fully equipped kitchen, three very comfortable bedrooms, and two full bathrooms.

The spacious casita has its own living room with a pool table, kitchen, large bedroom with a king-size bed, full bathroom and laundry room. The bright guest house has beautiful pool and mountain views throughout.

The expansive yards and large pool invite you to enjoy the indoor-outdoor living Palm Springs is famous for. Lounge by the fountain of the in-pool tanning bench, slip into the raised spa, sit below a little waterfall, fire up the BBQ, or just sink into an egg chair and enjoy the panoramic views of the towering mountain range.

There’s an outdoor shower, bocce court, and plenty of seating for all your family and friends.

When the sun goes down over Mount San Jacinto, the gas fire pit and ambient landscape & pool lighting will set the mood for unforgettable desert nights.

(The pool can be heated for an additional utility fee.)

Guest access
The entire home and backyard are accessible and exclusively reserved for guests, with the exception of two small owner's closets in the carport and the casita.

DESERT MONARCH RENTAL POLICY

• No parties or events are allowed at the property without exceptions

• Sorry, no pets or emotional support animals

• Minimum age of primary renter: 25 years old (ID will be verified at check-in)

• Overnight Maximum Guests: 8 adults

• Daytime Maximum Visitors: 6

• Parking: Only 3 cars total allowed for overnight parking per Palm Springs Vacation Rental Ordinance

• Check-in/out: Check-in is any time after 3PM, check-out is no later than 11AM. We usually cannot accommodate early check-ins or late check-outs.

• Pool: Contact host for option pool heat (recommended October-May) for $75/day with a 3 consecutive day minimum; due to liablity restrictions, we cannot supply inflatable pool floats in addition to the bean bag float (host is not responsible for inflatables left behind by other guests)

• NO OUTSIDE MUSIC ALLOWED as per Palm Springs VR ordinance. All indoor music must be inaudible outside.

• Failure to follow City Ordinance rules will result in a citation fine of up to $100 for noise & overoccupancy violations and immediate eviction from the property without a refund. The city has supplied surrounding neighbors with a 24-hour number to call should they decide to file a complaint.
