The Studio offers a bedroom with kingsize bed, and futon-style sleeping facilities for 2 additional guests in the living space. NB: the bedroom walls are high but do not reach the ceiling.

The space
Architect-designed Deep Lock Studio is located 5 mins walk from Bath Spa train station and the city centre. Perfect for a city break and exploring Bath’s Roman and Georgian past as well as its industrial heritage of the canals. The Studio’s location overlooking the Kennet & Avon Canal is a perfect starting point for walks into the National Trust land that surrounds this edge of Bath. Look out for kingfishers, herons, coots, moorhen, cormorants, swans and mallards from the large window overlooking the canal.

Situated next to the quaint but buzzing Widcombe High street, which boasts a lovely boutique selling great gifts, homeward, and clothes; a fabulous charity shop; several places to have coffee, beer, wine and food; as well as a pharmacy and a Coop.

The Studio offers a bedroom with kingsize bed, (many guests claim it’s the comfiest bed they’ve slept in!), and futon-style sleeping facilities for 2 additional guests in the living space. NB: the bedroom walls are high but do not reach the ceiling. There is also a fully equipped kitchen, with full-size hob, oven (microwave combi), fridge, kettle and toaster, plus dishwasher.

If you are just two guests but require linen for the sofa bed please let us know in advance; there is a £16 charge per stay to cover laundry costs.

On-street parking can be arranged.

After two guests, additional guests (up to two maximum) are charged £35 per person, per night.
If two guests only, but sofabed linen is required, there is an additional charge of £16 for the stay to cover laundry costs.

We love our tiny house very much, and would ask that you treat it with the same care and respect as you would that of friends and family.

The Studio is superbly located between city and countryside. A two-day itinerary could involve a shopping or cultural extravaganza in the heart of Bath followed by a refreshing day walking the National Trust Bath Skyline, or just ambling along the canal towpath enjoying the Georgian architecture.
The immediate area of Widcombe, has a village-feel, with a local Co-Op, pharmacy, charity shop, gift shop and numerous places to eat and drink.
Underneath the coffee table you will find a white box full of information leaflets on local things to do and places to visit.

Hi. We've lived in Bath for over 15 years. We built our home on the canal in 2011 and converted the Studio next door in 2019. I'm a mum to two boys and a freelance editor. My husband Jonny designed our home and the Studio, and also designed and built the furniture in the Studio. We love living in beautiful Bath.
