Our modern log home is set up with fine things like Turkish towels, local artisan soaps & the softest sheets. The tasteful decor has an mcm vibe w/industrial touches. Wander outdoors, swim, follow a creek, slip into the forest, hike back, cook dinner in a state of the art kitchen w/ a pantry full of fun gadgets. Relax by the fireplace, sit outside & watch the stars, light a fire. We provide blankets & wood. A welcome basket & a fully stocked coffee bar for the early mornings are waiting for you.
The space
If you’re looking for solitude, plenty of outdoor nature and refined indoors you have found it. Our property was a former fish farm with over 25 ponds that spans over 15 acres with a gushing creek that never freezes and runs thru the entire property and leads directly into the forest land. We have 1 marked swimming pond and dock running with fresh spring water and one with dock and 2 small kayak ( seasonal) you can use at your own risk. Our property abuts the state forest behind us providing endless opportunities to wander right in, walk or jog, run or hike the trails, fish in the Spring, Summer and hunt in the Fall or during Winter ski trail. This property is truly magical and here you can hear the birds singing in the morning , spot the wild turkeys crossing, white tail deers scouting on the higher hill, our geese family that lives on one of the upper ponds, otters and blue herons that love to eat our fish, our woodchuck friend that lives nearby, and bald eagles flying high. At night the peeper toads will serenade you during the Summer and fall months. You can follow the trail to the creek, walk around the pond paths, find a rainbow after the rain, hang in a hammock amongst the woods, read a book under an apple tree, swing away your worries or relax in front of the babbling creek, lay a blanket and plan a picnic (simple planning ~ French basket in pantry, bring bread, cheese and wine) , or serve breakfast in bed with a fancy leather tray, smell the towering hardwoods in our mini forest or pick fresh wildflowers for your hair. Pack the snowshoes and skis in the Winter and enjoy a quick ride to one of the four skiing resorts that are close by ( Hunter, Windham, Belleayre and Platettekill or walk into our winter wonderland full of sprouting Christmas pine trees and mighty oaks. Summer months take your shoes off and walk on the calming moss and fern fields. Cold nights sit indoors next to one of the three gas fireplaces and watch the snow fall. Our everyday dishes are white Lenox. Make waffles in our fancy waffle maker, toaster, coffee maker and grinder by SMEG, bake cookies for the hike or cook in our beautiful kitchen with All clad pots and pans, double oven and fancy leather stools for a quick meal. Our large rustic dining room from Restoration Hardware seats 8 and we encourage you to set the table and uncork some wine. We have beautiful French dishes in gray tones from Williams Sonoma and fine wine glasses from Crate and Barrel. Load the dishwasher after dinner and wander outside. Smell the fresh air. We have a wood bar cabinet (you bring the goodies ) with all the gadgets you need to make drinks or uncork a wine bottle.
Our Bedrooms are comfortable for up to 8 as a maximum capacity ( sometimes we make exceptions but with an extra charge for 2 additional guests) and are outfitted with custom Irish linen sheets or for winter flannel sheets, comfy pillows and Leesa deep mattresses. Night tables have custom leather catch all to hold your small items and beautiful lamps that complement the rooms. Each one brings the outdoor in with live green plants and the carefully curated art and artifacts displayed thru out the home ties it all in. The Living room has an alluring leather couch, tv, a spotty WiFi, Alexa on command, a fine collection of vinyl and a record player to remind you of the good times. Make more .
The deck area has sitting, bistro lights, a pretty sun umbrella ( seasonal) a top of the line Weber barbecue and a red Preway chimenea for enjoying more of the outdoors. Make s’mores or play one of our many board games . Waking up in the MBR is like waking up in a tree house. Pull the soft curtains and watch the sunrise. Watch the stars from the skylight. Sleep in or watch the misty trees and fog rising amongst the woods from the deck. Walk the custom made trail lined with wildflowers during the Spring season or go deeper in. Bring a yoga mat and face the sun in the roundabout or watch the wildlife from the many windows and as the sun sets soak in the tub with custom soaps and bath salts in the largest glass container you have ever seen. Wrap yourself in the softest cotton towels, hang in the bath robes for a while, grab a book from an amazing selection from one of the tables or book shelf, sit back, breathe deep. Take it all in.

House Rules
Upon arrival please email us that you have checked in~
1. If there’s anything you need please let us know and we may be able to accommodate a special request prior to your arrival.
2. All house garbage and bathroom pails must be bagged and brought out before you leave to the front green dumpster.
3. No grease, oil, bones, oatmeal, pasta, egg shells, peels, or rice down the kitchen sink
4. No sanitary napkins, tampons or wipes, cigarette butts, dental floss, meds, bandaids down the toilet.
5. All used towels and robes must be left on the floor in the laundry room. We have provided towelettes to remove your makeup but if you need to use towels use the dark ones. If you use the real linen napkins for dinner please wash immediately.
6. Please use the agate coasters on our beautiful coffee table
7. Not responsible for personal items left behind. Please check twice before leaving.
8. You promise to take all you brought with you and leave all you found back in it’s place.
9. Since our house is outfitted with fine items for your enjoyment we take inventory before you arrive to ensure for an unforgettable experience.
10. No food or garbage should be left on the deck it will attract wild animals or debris on the property or trail ( what you bring in must come out with you wrappers, empty water bottles, empty cigarette packs, etc)
11. Bistro lights on deck have a switch to turn on/off
12. All 3 fireplaces must be turned off before you leave ( they work on remotes)
13. All candles to be blown out
14. Absolutely NO smoking inside the house if you smoke outside please pick your butts up and we provide outdoor ashtrays ( please empty )
15. Before you leave you can load the dishwasher and leave for us to unload
16. To protect our floors made of soft Acacia woods and our radiant heat we provide slippers upon arrival. Please take them with you.
17. Lock all doors ( we have a lot of them) before leaving and close all windows.
18. Basement, garage, 5 bottom cabinets in Pantry, hallway and master bedroom bathroom closet are used for personal items and storage of items.
19. Outdoor cushions have their own covers. Please cover before leaving. Grill and table have covers too.
20. Once you have checked out please Email us immediately that you have left the property so we can send our property manager in to assess and clean for the next guests.
