📍 LOCATION
8 @ Mill Lane is situated in the peaceful Vallance Estate area of Hartbeespoort, approximately 45 minutes from Johannesburg and Pretoria.
The house offers a quiet countryside setting while remaining within easy driving distance of Hartbeespoort restaurants, markets, hiking routes, outdoor activities and local attractions, including the Hartbeespoort Aerial Cableway and Van Gaalen trails.

⭐ SOLAR POWER
Our home operates fully off-grid using an 8kVA solar system with three backup batteries, designed to comfortably support up to four guests when electricity is used mindfully.
This forms part of our green initiative to reduce environmental impact and provide a quieter, more sustainable stay close to nature. It also means the house continues operating during load shedding under normal solar conditions.

Guests must use electricity carefully. Lights, air-conditioners and appliances should not be left running unnecessarily. If excessive electricity use drains the batteries, the house cannot simply be switched back on. Power will return only once the solar system has received enough sunlight to recharge.

During extended periods of bad weather, a backup generator is available to recharge the batteries, but it is reserved for genuine emergencies rather than routine electricity use.

Guests are personally welcomed on arrival and have secure on-site parking within the gated Vallance Estate in Hartbeespoort.

You’ll have exclusive use of the entire architect-designed glass guesthouse, including the swimming pool, wood-fired hot tub, fire pit, braai area, mountain-facing veranda and designated outdoor guest spaces.

The open-plan lounge, fully equipped self-catering kitchen and dining area flow directly onto the pool terrace, creating seamless indoor-outdoor living with sweeping Magaliesberg mountain views.

The solar-powered house continues operating during load shedding. Wi-Fi, fresh linen, towels, air-conditioning, a gas stove and secure parking are included.
