Farmstay vacation rentals in Groningen

We had a lovely stay in the Groningen area and Hugo’s place was serene and peaceful and cozy; it was easy to get to where we were visiting from his location.

Very nice area with a very nice apartment. You feel right at home in there. Pasha is very nice, helpful and quick to reach for further questions.

Our stay at Lucy's place in the lovely cabin in her food forest was everything we needed. The cottage is nice and private, and sometimes you see Lucy in the weather with her food forest or vegetable garden or another job, because she is busy. We had time to retreat, back to what is really important: love in and for nature! Stayed nice and warm with the stove on in the living and dining room with incredibly cozy beautifully colored curtains, being able to cook, read in the relaxed chairs and also slept well under a nice thick duvet in the other part. The nights were cold but we were nice and warm! Lucy has truly made it a beautiful place. She told us about the food forest, and was super hospitable and an inspiring person, with a heart for fellow human beings and nature. She also has many good tips for hiking trails and fun things in the area. Definitely walk her route: 'The Drenth Cayon'. Definitely recommend this place! We'll be back in the summer!

Very clean and cosy and a very friendly host. The flat has everything you need and the hot tub is super relaxing. We had a very pleasant stay.

Geertje and Emily was the perfects hosts for us. We felt at home, and enjoyed the rustiqueness of the house and the peace and quiet of the surroundings. We got a lovely home made apple cake aswell, thank you!

We had a super relaxed stay. Snow had just fallen but there was more than enough wood to heat the space with the wood stove and the space was preheated. Everything was made of wood, super cozy. We played nice CDs, been able to cook for ourselves, herbs, salt,coffee etc. was available, wonderful shower. We only stayed for 2 days, but came back charged. When leaving, we had a nice cup of coffee with the host and hostess, completely top.

Lovely few days felt like a home away from home

Amazing place to stay! Beautiful and peaceful scenery, cute dog and chicken, beautiful and super clean bedroom! And the hosts are super nice! Amazing experience and I’m going to revisit again!

Wow! Words fall short for this magical stay. I had booked this location because of an intensive, where I could spend 4 days together with students in a nice way to complete the year process together. Because of this, I had quite a few specific questions, which is always a bit exciting. Saran and Rowan moved super nicely though. Thought for yourself about any solutions and actively started to meet our wishes (which really worked out). Such hospitable people with clearly their heart in the right place. Very grateful to be able to meet them. They are clearly custodians / beschemers of the beautiful land and the animals on the land. Everything is addressed with a lot of respect and gratitude. Thank you for everything. We really wish you even more fantastic people who can come and experience your place and the culture. 🙏

We stayed with Wanda for the first time in her beautiful chalet and for the second time in this great complex and surroundings. Very nice with a lot of love for detail. Everything you need and very clean. We felt very comfortable and like to come back. Thank you and best regards Yvonne & Alex

We were a group of 7 friends who were looking for an relaxing stay in the netherlands. We were really happy with this location. First of all, the host Milo is a really kind person who checked in on us and looked if everything is fine. Also he gave us nice tips for things we can do in the area. Stores like Coop are good to find within 10 minutes with the car, bikes can be rent within a 10 minute footwalk. All in all it is a very quite area which is good for relaxing. Additionally, the big garden we could use was perfect. But you should be aware that the walls are very thin in the house. So when you are talking in the basement, you will hear this in the first floor. But for us this was not a problem at all. We can definitely recommend this location!

Matthias and his partner are so welcoming and passionate about what they do. The care and consideration was outstanding and so was the breakfast and the space I stayed in. Thank you for having me!

Our stay with Annemarie was nothing short of amazing. We had the best time at this converted barn . Big enough for 2 people on dead end road with views of the landscape and her horses. Annemarie is a warm and very kind host and she makes sure everything is to your satisfaction. We will often think back about our stay with her and certainly will return. Grietus & Kaylynne

Enjoying the large garden, making friends with cat Willem, looking for an egg every day with the kids, baking mud pies, jumping on the trampoline and sitting by the fire on the covered terrace in the evening. For us 4 adults and 2 kids this was the perfect vacation. Many thanks to Joanne and her family for their hospitality, generosity and all the thoughtful details.

We had a wonderful time with our two boys in the charming, authentic Waddenhuisje (indeed less suitable for average taller people). We were warmly welcomed by Ellen and everything you expect was in the house and in the kitchen. We were happily surprised with the separate spacious kitchen, so you sometimes didn't sit together in a room together (different than at home with the open kitchen). By car, it is very easy (no chicken on the road) to explore the area: from Groningen, Winsum, Noordpokderzijl, to Warffum and Schiermonnikoog. and probably much more!

Such a nice, peaceful and cosy place! We stayed here to discover the Lauwersmeer with its variety of birds. It was lovely to start the day peaceful and end it cosy at Hans-Eriks place. Definitely would recommend! Would love to come back in a different season as well.

We had a very nice time with our 8 month old daughter in this well-equipped cottage. The high chair, toys and cot were a real plus for us. Yeltsje is very nice, we are sorry not to have met her. She really thought of everything! By the way, the bed was a little too soft for us, but that's different for everyone. However, it doesn't seem so nice to sleep in the extra room where the boiler hangs, because it starts and makes noise regularly. It might be nice to know who gets the single bed there.

We had our first friends baby vacation and were in the house with 6 adults, one toddler and two babies and loved it. The property is very spacious and offers plenty of space for everyone, especially due to the open kitchen. The garden is perfect for nice barbecues or just to relax. The house is quietly located and had great amenities. 10 minutes away by car is a beautiful lake (Blue Sea) for relaxing or swimming. Otherwise, the area offers a lot with various national parks, an alpaca farm (Alpaca's Enzo) or a great zoo (Wildlands) in Emmen. We felt very comfortable and also the hosts were always available if we had questions or asked recommendations. We would love to come back again!

Our stay at Xer's house was great and we had everything we needed. Xer was also super quick to reach and helped us immediately when we had small starting difficulties with the heating. The place matches the pictures and it was very nice and quiet and relaxed. :)
