VICOJOVIA23 is a delightful holiday home in the heart of the historic center of Gioia del Colle, completely renovated respecting its original layout, dating back to the 14th century. Part of an ancient convent, located in front of the tower of the Norman-Swabian castle, today it presents itself as a welcoming home equipped with every comfort. A pleasant corner near the numerous places that overlook Piazza dei Martiri. Don't miss the chance to appreciate this house.
“This place is just great. First, the location. The apartment is at the end of a quiet cul de sac and is not overlooked. It is close to the castle (within which is a National Museum of Archaeology) and within 200 metres there are at least 4 restaurants, a beer shop, a cafe/bar and a fish shop. It is only slightly further to the main square and main street, where there are other bars, restaurants and food shops. Second, the apartment itself. Renovated to a very high standard it is stylish and warm (I was here in mid-March). There are two bedrooms, a double and a twin. The upstairs bathroom has a great shower; downstairs there is another toilet and bidet. The cooking facilities consist of two gas rings and a microwave, but who wants to do a lot of cooking with Italian restaurants on hand? The equipment in the kitchen is adequate for simple cookery. There is a fridge that was stocked with milk/soya and butter. Also provided were crackers and crispbread for breakfast plus jams, honey and chocolate spreads. Third, Pasquale was a great host. Nothing was too much trouble and he has provided maps and restaurant business cards to help guests orientate. You will have guessed by now that I recommend this place and it won't be a shock that I will do my best to come back.”
"The room all for itself", 10 minutes walk from the train station of Gioia del Colle and 5 minutes from the bus stop, is a nice independent apartment renovated, perfect for holidays or business trips. Located in the heart of the Federician city rich in historical monuments, excellent wineries (visitable) and renowned dairies throughout Italy, it has a strategic position that makes Matera, Bari, Alberobello, Taranto, Valle d'Itria, Polignano and Monopoli within a few minutes.
“A sweet gem in Gioia, the apartment is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean with a wonderful rooftop patio. The location is very good within 10-15 minutes walk from trains or intercity buses, plenty of shops, cafés and restaurants and a big Lidl supermarket. Going up and down the 2 flights of stairs several times daily was good for fitness! It's a shame that Lara does not allow the kitchen to be used for cooking, the 2 gas burners would be ideal for simple meals. I felt safe and comfortable there and would definitely recommend it. Lara is a kind and thoughtful host and Gioia is a good base for exploring the region by bus or train.”
“Sandra is a kind and caring hostess, the accommodation is very cozy and clean and everything is renovated, there is also a table outside to enjoy a summer meal. All very comfortable. Very quiet area, in the wonderful Apulian nature, ideal for those traveling by car. I would return with pleasure.”
