I have stayed here with a group of eight and a dog two years in a row and we’ve had a great time both times. This year there were even noticeable improvements made to the home and we were pleasantly surprised. It is remote but very beautiful surroundings and perfect for our group!

Takashi San place was very pleasant. We had a good time with our dogs there and enjoyed the yard. We hope to go back again and enjoy the house again. We also forgot some things and Takashi helped us send them to our future location for us to pick up.

Cozy and unique experience! + Shiori and the cafe/house staff are so nice + Didn’t find the cafe to be an issue as you are probably out exploring during open hours anyway + Quick walk to the old town and nearby cafes for coffee and breakfast - Might be difficult for older people to get to the house as it is about a 15 minute walk from the station (flat and few turns) - Expect no privacy during cafe open hours and don’t plan to work here as the walls are traditional paper and very thin. No one will come upstairs though. Overall I’d recommend to stay here a few days. The city is great and the property is unique; the longer I was there the more comfortable it became.

I promise, just book this place. Truly amazing. We drove here from Kyoto, and it was a truly magical stay for 3 days. There’s a hot onsen that can fit 3 people inside, and a tiny stone one outside that can fit 1 person. The kitchen is great with all the tools you’d need. Tatami mats are comfy, and the view to the river and the sound is so peaceful. There’s parking for 1 car right outside. We did laundry (super easy) in the machine, and cooked every night. We also got firewood fire a crackling fireplace! Ume San the caretaker is amazing. So happy and helpful; he made our stay so great. He’s in a cabin right nearby if we needed anything (which we didn’t) and he taught us everything about the house. The beds are twins and pretty firm beds, and there’s no central heating; just portable heaters in each room. All of this was fine! WiFi also worked great. You truly should book this stay; it was one of our favorite memories of our trip to Japan!

We had an amazing stay. The location was perfect, very close to all Takayama has to offer but also very peaceful with a beautiful outside tub. The house was so clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. I would stay again in a heart beat next time I am in Takayama!

We also used it for the event. The check-in time was not clear until the last minute, and they responded flexibly. The guidance after check-in was friendly and I was able to use it with peace of mind. You're a very kind host. The place is well cleaned and you can have a comfortable stay with no shortage of amenities. I cooked myself this time, but the kitchen was mostly stocked.

Noriko's house allows us to live in a traditional Japanese house and nicely decorated for a few nights. We loved the experience and sharing the place with the two cats in the house (to know if you are allergic).

A good check-in experience ~ It was very smooth to interact with Mayumi.Masumasa is especially good, so you can find her if you have any questions.Although the language doesn't work well, we had a great time chatting with the translator.Solving a lot of my problems was a big help!The room is particularly clean and tidy, there is a slight scent, the residence is very happy and the tram🥰 station is a little far away, but it is also happy to walk a little longer with friends, and because of this, there is almost no noise in the accommodation.Come to Japan a few times, this is my first time staying in a traditional Japanese house, and it feels interesting.On the last day we caught the plane and Makushang also drove us to the tram station, really special thanks🥹

Regarding the location, there are few accommodations that have so much privacy.It is on your own road and in the mountains.The house is newly built, but there is a nice smell of wood when you enter.The interior was more luxuriously used for the interior than the general house, and it was a pleasant space.It is not a rough feeling like a cabin, but a more sophisticated "wooden house".I stayed in December, and I had a relaxing time watching the fire in the wood stove.I also ran to Enakyo early in the morning.It's close. Thank you very much.
