No running water or bathroom in cabin but a mermaid outhouse nearby and a summer outdoor hotwater shower and coldwater sink. Shared fire pit. Wood is available,water nearby on property. Please register pets as they require an additional cleaning fee. 1 or 2 pets kept on leash and never left unattended. Please pick up after. TY Close to Kenai River, mtns and coast. Very relaxed and casual here!

Each year there are two runs each of king salmon, coho salmon, sockeye salmon, plus a run of pink salmon every other year. There is also excellent Rainbow trout and Dolly Varden Trout. The world famous Kenai River is just a mile away. This is a very peaceful area with lots of privacy. The Moose River is also only a mile away. The famous Swanson River canoe trails are just down the road. There is a local Pizzeria, restaurants and local taverns with live music.

This is a quiet, secluded area where we often see moose and sandhill cranes. We are just a 10-minute drive to Soldotna and fishing on the Kenai River and just a 20-minute drive to the Cook Inlet or the Russian River. This area of Alaska has so much to do the whole family will enjoy.

Absolutely wonderful stay. Was perfect. Cozy cabin right in the middle of everything. Close to convenient shops like Walmart for necessities , and close to amazing locations like Coopers landing. But at the same time it was secluded and peaceful with an amazing view right off the porch. Couldn’t recommend it enough. Amazing host, responsive to all questions and helpful with local suggestions. 10/10

This was the coolest place we stayed during our AK trip! Kristin was an incredibly kind host and her place was so charming and peaceful. The view of the lake was spectacular and felt very secluded—like our own little lake house. The place was also very unique; we really felt right at home and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

THIS IS A FISHING CAMP No frills. Bed and hot shower. We slept there and went fishing. Least expensive in the area, centrally located came in handy when the Russian River didn’t produce, we found a nearby run of salmon. Adventure camp, rustic, primitive, but gorgeous. Pattie has 60 years of knowledge if you need help finding fish. Great father son bonding place.

I love staying at the Birch Tree Cabins! Andy is always very helpful and responsive. This was our second stay at Birch Tree Cabins. The first time we stayed in the Moose Cabin and this year we tried the Wolf Den. Both cabins are wonderful and equipped with everything we needed: range, microwave, coffee maker, and hot water for those much needed hot showers after a rainy day! Thank you Andy for another great stay!

Sue and Mike are very friendly and accommodating! The house is modern, clean, roomy and beautifully decorated. The hosts have it well stocked and have thought of everything to make it feel homey. The pictures don’t do it justice! Fishing on the Kenai was a blast. Most of us caught our limit daily. Would definitely go back!! Thank you soooo much for sharing your amazing home, Sue and Mike!

Nice cabin. Was quite spacious. I was a bit worried beforehand that it would feel a bit cool because it looked quite dark in the photos. In real life it was also a bit dark due to the location between trees, but it didn't feel that way at all. It actually felt very warm and cozy.

The location and cabin was very nice and quiet. If you are looking for a peaceful and scenic location away from the hustle and bustle of town life, this is the place. Linda, the hostess was most informative and helpful. Its clear they really care about their patrons.
