The original small log cabin is Amish built and relocated to our lake lot from a local Christmas tree farm. We added on just over 1000 sq ft to the cabin to complete Cottonwood Cove.

This home is set up like a duplex with owners occupying the top (we do have 3 young children) and guests having full, private access to the bottom half. Guests are given a private garage and back yard that includes free firewood. Private entry gives access to over 2,200 sq ft of private space that includes a semi-four seasons room with gas fireplace, laundry, and full kitchen. It is off the grid, but it has a complete functioning kitchen, wood stove and sitting room downstairs. There are two antique beds with new mattresses upstairs. There is no electricity but the cabin is furnished with kerosene lanterns. The bathroom facilities consist of wash basins and outhouse. The cabin is surrounded by 40 acres of woods and meadows.

Lovely lake home on a beautiful lake. Just as described and shown in the pictures, very spacious. Perfect for families or small groups. Close to town with lots to see and do. My kids enjoyed paddle boarding and fishing right across the street. We wished we could've stayed longer and would definitely stay again.

The Barrett cabin is a great place to stay!
