Penthouse with a view of Siena

LynnetteRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Of all of the Airbnbs that we stayed in while in Italy, this one was by far our favorite. The apartment itself was spacious, clean and lovely. On top of that, the view from the terrace was unbelievable. We spent a lot of time sitting out there, taking in the sights and listening to the beautiful chorale bells of Siena. Additionally, Chiara and Giuseppe recommended a private chef, Robin Di Dio, who came in one evening to cook us an amazing meal. It was an incredibly delicious variety of authentic local cuisine and Robin made us feel completely pampered. Robin also recommended a local winery, Tenuta Lanianone, and one of the owners, Lorenzo, gave us a wonderful private tour. Our only regret is not staying in Siena more days so that we could enjoy more of this beautiful apartment and explore more of the fascinating city. We definitely hope to come back again!

Appartamento Mariapaola

AnnaRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Beautiful, nicely furnished and sparkling clean apartment. Very nice bathroom. Everything in the city within walking distance. 2 parking spaces nearby (about 300 m), one free, one for a fee. Upon our arrival, we used the escalators, which is a small detour. It's faster to go directly up from the parking lot over a few short, flat steps and some bumpy terrain. The path to the escalators is also bumpy. All in all a highly recommended accommodation, we felt very comfortable.

Sofia's place is spotless and matches the listing. It's even bigger than the photos show. All the necessary equipment is there and the bedding is of very good quality. Sofia is an attentive and very responsive host, thank you again to her. Regarding the location, Colle is a very convenient small town, located between Florence, Siena and San Gimignano (among others) and which offers all the necessities. Special mention at the bar / pizzeria in the small square right next to the accommodation, ideal for both the morning coffee and the early evening Spritz.

A Cosy flat

Had a super 8 night stay here. Paola, the host, is everything you can hope for from an Airbnb host. Super communicative, welcoming and helpful. Her and her husband helped me with a medical issue, which was so kind and appreciated. Wow! Just wow! The apartment is quiet and I slept good at night. It has every amenity that I needed. It is clean and in a safe location. They really put love and attention into this place and it shows. Highly recommended.

Penthouse in Siena near Piazza del Campo and Palio

We had a fabulous stay here, there was more than enough rooms and space to relax after a day of sightseeing. The view from the living room is gorgeous, the rooms are all charmingly decorated and it had all the amenities we needed: separate beds for 4 adults, large enough showers, laundry and kitchen as well as cosy living room. Federico was very friendly, responsive and made us feel at home immediately. Highly recommend!

Very modern and high-tech decoration, spacious rooms, and well-equipped kitchen. Parking is convenient in the yard in front of the building. I like the coffee shop nearby. On the morning of our arrival, he sent us a very detailed check-in guide, including how to get the entry key, how to park, and how to use the heating and shower facilities. He responded to messages very quickly and the communication was very smooth. Highly recommended

True Etruscan Experience in Orvieto

HildeRating, 5 starstoday
The house is so unique, perched on the edge of the tufa cliffs. It is also very beautiful and comfortable—and the excavations beneath the house are fascinating. It is also very private and quiet as it is situated in the quiet end of town. We were able to easily walk to the museums and the Duomo and the stunning San Giovenale church is just around the corner. Giovanni provided a list of restaurants and we were never disappointed with his recommendations. The house manager, Paolo, is very friendly and responsive but he speaks very little English. Thank goodness for Google Translator!

Nada and her daughter Viola have created a stunning home which provided a beautiful setting to recharge and rest for the next leg of our trip. Both Nada and Viola were communicative, friendly, and available to address any issues (not that there were many). Viola created a fun cooking class and was even able to cater it to my sister’s gluten free diet. Do not hesitate to book your stay here, and definitely do the cooking class. Thank you, Nada and Viola!

Country charm walking distance from Cortona centre

NatashaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We have had the most wonderful stay. The farmhouse is beautiful, full of character with the most amazing garden, stunning views and a lovely pool. We used the two guesthouses as well as the main house, loved the flexible and sociable spaces it gave us with 8 adults of 3 generations. There is so much to see in Cortona. Full of great restaurants ; thank you Nella for your recommendations. Really good pizzeria and a new bistro less than 10 mins if you don’t always fancy the walk down and up the hill. We loved the local bakery and the homemade pasta shop. Like many guests we would highly recommend Lilli - she cooked for us one evening - a very special meal. I do think a car helps - we didn’t book one originally but didn’t realise how hard it is to get taxis from the station. Gave us more options to explore… but you really don’t need to venture far from Cortona; it’s beautiful. We all really had a special and memorable holiday. Would love to return. Thank you Nella and Sebastian

"Casa Elisa", house with swimming pool at the foot of Cortona

DanielleRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The stay "Casa Elisa" was better than we expected. It is a large house with even a basement with sauna. The pool in the garden (with outdoor shower and toilet) and the house itself were sparkling clean. There was no dust or cobweb to be discovered (not even behind a closet that we moved to be able to reach an outlet). The view from the balcony was breathtaking and the surroundings were fantastic. You are so in towns such as Siena, Arezzo, Perugia and there is also a large lake nearby where we rented a boat for a day (recommended). In short, we can recommend everyone to book with Lorenzo. The communication with Lorenzo was also excellent, easy to reach via app and speaks good English. His father comes to check and clean the pool every day and his mother's day baked a delicious cake very sweetly.

Chianti Apartment in 12th Century Tuscan farmhouse

BrandonRating, 5 stars1 week ago
It’s hard to describe just how incredible this place is. The garden is immaculate and pictures cannot do it justice, once you’re immersed in it and you hear the birds and look at the Tuscan scenery, it’s like you’re in a fairy tale. The owners have clearly worked incredibly hard to make this everything that it is, and my wife and I would easily plan our next trip around this place with more time here. The owners are also incredibly friendly and responsive, they welcomed us in and walked us around the property, gave us great recommendations for the surrounding area, loaned us an umbrella, and let us play with their dog. Magical experience and I cannot recommend it enough. We even saw fireflies!

Roman Domus

MichaelRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This apartment was located in the heart of the historic district. The apartment was great and Michele was a friendly and exceptionally helpful host. He even emailed me a list of some of his favorite restaurants, which provided a fantastic opportunity to find restaurants where local people eat rather than ending up at the places for tourists. The only difficulty I had was finding the place from the airport since the directions on Google Map were impossible to follow. To get there, turn to the left when you exit the Perugia train station and about 100 meters away you will find a Mini-Metro station marked by a blue letter M. Buy a ticket for 1 1/2 Euros per person using cash or a credit card. Take the cable car to the last station at Pincetto. Follow the stairs and escalators up. Take a right and walk to a large plaza. Turn left and follow the street a couple hundred meters. When the street turns sharp left, cross the street and go down the alley, turn left onto Cesare Caporali.

Giacomo is above and beyond the perfect host, and his apartment was exquisite. It was spacious, beautifully designed, had absolutely everything a visitor could need, and It was immaculate. The location could not have been better. It was just a few minutes walk to the Centro Storico with great restaurants and a phenomenal art museum. We loved Viale Indipendenza, and both in the morning and at night we stood there and looked out over Perugia and to the mountains. The sunsets were exquisite. Thank you, Giacomo, for every way you helped us have a great first visit to Perugia.

We had a ball staying in Greve and so many spectacular Tuscan spots can be easily reached by car or bike if you like hills. Free parking was found nearby every day, the apartment has plenty of space, really comfortable and a great view over the square. Tasty pastries only a few steps away. There’s a supermarket around the corner, plenty of restaurants in the square but if you want a special dining experience, check out Ristoro di Lamole which is a short drive away. We’ll be back!

Florentine Hills "LE SCALETTE"

StephanieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Lovely stay in Tuscany! Patrizia had started a warming fire going for us in the fireplace upon arrival, as the weather was chilly and rainy. The house was very cozy, artistically decorated, and well appointed -- it made us feel very much at home away from home. Gorgeous views of Tuscany from the bedroom windows, and a well cared for garden which had lemons, rosemary, basil and many flowering plants. Patrizia was the absolute best hostess and provided for all our needs during our stay. There was plenty of room for everybody in the house, and there was even a lovely little kitchen which was fully stocked (salt, pepper, spices, coffee, milk, and more!). Note there is not an oven, but we were able to cook breakfast every day, and even a few dinner meals for our small group in the mini kitchen (there is a mini fridge which fit a lot of perishable food for its size!, and a small induction stove top). Thank you for the perfect stay!
