Family-friendly vacation rentals in Fernhill

Booked this stunning little spot quite spontaneously as a staycation after a very busy few months. Was so lucky it was available! What a gem of a spot to stay. Absolutely picturesque location in a very quiet location. Gorgeous home with lots of quirky artwork and fun little personal touches - nice to see such character in an Airbnb. The hot tub was a highlight! Would absolutely recommend for a peaceful, private getaway. Jason was really lovely in our messages and very kindly offered us a late check out after hearing it was a staycation from a hectic few weeks, as it was free the next night. This really added to our stay and we are very grateful!

Superb views and we just can't stop admiring the beautiful sight at all times of the day. Beds are super comfy and it's a well stocked apartment. Marty is a friendly host and we have no problems checking in. Love the warm bathroom too!

The home was perfect for our family holiday with 4 kids. The backyard with Spa, Outdoor fire and Trampoline was a favourite amongst everyone. Great location with beautiful mountain views

Robyn was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed while still giving us plenty of privacy. An ideal location away from the hustle of town and a very short drive to a wide range of shops and services. Highly recommend Robyn’s place for both long and short stays .

Photos don’t do the view justice. Jeremy was a great host. This is a cabin type experience. We stayed in the winter and used the cottage as a home base for skiing and other activities which was great. Quick ride over to Arrowtown and Queenstown but far away enough to feel private and peaceful. Some important points regarding previous reviews I read about the place being “cold”…the ground floor is all slate stone…as Jeremy recommended, just bring some sandals or slippers to wear around. There is a large heat pump, a lovely pot belly stove, and space heaters and all the beds have blanket heaters which we actually didn’t use because they were too hot…so it’s easy to stay warm and the view and coziness are well worth it, but if you’re expecting a thermostat in a hotel room that you set and leave…this wouldn’t be the place for you. We loved our stay and the host was very responsive.

The cottage was clean and tidy and tastefully decorated. Beds, pillows and linen were super comfy. Split wood and fireplace was cherry on top!

Michael was friendly and communicative and gave clear instructions. The home was warm, sunny and comfortable. Although there were neighbours close by it still felt private. We really enjoyed our stay, thank you! :)

Wendy’s place is a Nice place and good location if you are visiting to Queenstown! And all the room environments just so good!

This is my all time favorite AirBnb! It was gorgeous, had plenty of room, and felt like home. We actually used the amenities, including the grill and hot tub. Our group usually likes to go go go, but this trip we spent more time than usual at the house because we loved the accommodations. I highly recommend Peter’s place!

Fabulous stay. Plenty of room for our family of 4 adults and 2 children. Wonderful views. Spacious apartment with all that you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. Steep driveway that we didn’t attempt in our hire van. Plenty of off street party. Keren was a wonderful host. Apartment stayed warm from all the fabulous sun. Fire place used once worked well. Heated towel racks were a luxury as was the huge spa bath in main bedroom.

We were blown away by the accomodation. It appears small from the outside but it's so spacious on the inside! Lots of bathrooms which are modern and clean. The house was warm, comfy beds and well equipped (lots of toilet paper!). And the views from the deck were just stunning!! The group were blown away by the value for money. We will definitely be back if ever in Queenstown again ☺️

Kaye was extremely warm and helpful. The views from her villa cannot be described! Our jaws were on the floor when we first walked in, and we debated just staying in the villa and not exploring at all for the three days we were there. Great view from hot tub. All the amenities we needed and more. Strongly recommend.

Amazing place! The village of Cardrona is just lovely. And this place was perfect for our family for a ski week! Lovely comfortable beds, warm and cosy with a gas fire and ample heating. The laundry is big and we could easily hang all our ski gear up to dry ready for the next day. The hot pool was a hit with our kids! The Cardona hotel next door is great and has and amazing kids playground, and the General Store sells wood fire pizza on a Friday evening - wonderful. Such a great trip! Many thanks
