A tranquil and peaceful stay in this spacious and well equipped cottage. We were well looked after by Jenny and co. and felt totally relaxed. Enjoyed our interactions with farm life, which included birthing a lamb, petting the donkies and seeing the newborn kittens, it made our stay very special. The house is well located for trips into Edinburgh and Glasgow, or to enjoy nearby countryside. You won't regret it!

Appletree Cottage, Williamscraig, Linlithgow

HeatherRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a lovely few days, staying at Appletree Cottage, with our two grandchildren aged 6 and 3. The cottage was very comfy and well equipped, and ideally suited our needs. Good location for many attractions such as Blair Drummond Safari Park, Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies. We were lucky to have good weather so the excellent play area and hot tub were much enjoyed each day. Would definitely recommend booking.

Drumbank Cottage* - Sleeps 4

JennieRating, 5 stars6 days ago
A very comfortable stay in a cottage which clearly has history as part of the estate. Private, with lovely views to the east. Super-comfy bed and lovely bed linen so we slept well. Spacious lounge and kitchen. Parking directly outside the cottage which was a boon. We've stayed in some very 'flash' AirBnB's but none of them feel 'comfortable' when you step through the front door. We felt right at home from the moment we went in. Lovely to be able to enjoy walks around the estate with our dog. I was working at the West End of the city and door to door it took 30 minutes each day. Much nicer to be out in the countryside than in a purple palace in the city, and the drive in gave us a chance to see some of the city we've not seen before (thank you BMW Sat Nav . . .).
A stone-built cottage with a traditional exterior is surrounded by well-maintained greenery. Large windows allow natural light to enter, and a skylight enhances the bright atmosphere. The front yard features a manicured lawn and flowering bushes, contributing to a welcoming entrance.

Tigh Nam Muc

AliceRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Tigh Nam Muc is a beautifully decorated cottage with all the required amenities and very comfortable beds. It is ideal for trips into Edinburgh...would recommend the park and ride as parking fairly limited in the city centre. We enjoyed Portobello, the National Museum of Scotland, Dalkeith Country Park and Edinburgh zoo. Although not far from Edinburgh, it felt peaceful and quiet. Ideal for families like ours (toddler and a 4 month old!) Sue was very responsive and helpful. Would stay again and recommend to others.

Gardener's Cottage* - Sleeps 3

NehaRating, 5 starstoday
The estate is stunning and a privilege to be able to have this environment. The house is very comfortable, fully equipped.. did not need anything It’s lovely to sit outside in the sun and have tea/coffee, the walks are beautiful. The place is about 25 mins away from the royal mile.. very easy to get there by bus/taxi. So if you like a peaceful and private stay with lush green fields around you then don’t miss this.. it’s worth the trip from the city. There is a coop up the drive way for any urgent grocery needs. Charlotte was super responsive. I really could not have asked for more.. loved it Only recommendation I would give is that if you have heavy bags then come by taxi as the walk from main road to the cottage is long.
The exterior of the cottage features a stone facade with a charming window adorned by flowers. A bench is positioned on the pathway, surrounded by neatly trimmed hedges and a well-maintained lawn, offering a welcoming entrance to the property.

This is a very nice cottage. The house book shows it being completely refurbed and rebuilt. It has been done to a high standard. The house is well layed out, with all modern amenities. The downstairs bedroom was apparented as the wife has mobility issues. The back garden is a proper SIN trap, sat with coffee and very quite,no local noise. pud and restaurant at end of the street, very good. local shops and cafe. Edinburgh is just a 20 minute drive to the centre, Leith and Portobello as well. 20 minutes takes you into the Scottish Borders to explore. This house is very Central to get out and explore, or you can just walk over to Roslin ruined cathedral for a enjoyable walk around finishing off at the pud in the evening sunshine. We shall will be returning. one of the best A/B&B we have stayed at.
