The Joiners Cottage is a very special place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would definitely return. Yvonne was very proactive with communication ahead of our arrival. The property has all the basics as well of lots of extras and a lovely welcome pack (milk, bread, eggs, biscuits 😋). The WiFi wasn’t working when we arrived, but Robert came straight across and sorted it really quickly. He is a great friendly host.

Willie has been an exceptionally good host. He was very considerate sending messages to ask if we were happy with the cottage and were enjoying our holiday. It was always good to know he was available should the need arise. We found the cottage very clean, comfortable and cosy. Plenty of linen/towels and little foodie items etc which were a nice touch. Lovely to have private parking and a garden to maximise the stunning sea views. There were books and helpful information leaflets too. Finally Willie offered us an earlier check in and later check out times which we really appreciated. We would be happy to recommend this holiday let and would love to stay again.

Tha caravan was spotless and comfortable, in a peaceful place overlooking beautiful Loch Bi with its 700 swans. Stevie was a kind and friendly host, who provided us with some essential foodstuffs for our stay. He obviously has a great knowledge and love of the island. Would definitely come back here.

We could not have been happier with our stay at the Caravan on the Croft. The beauty of the location defies description and the perfectly presented, cozy home inside was exactly what we hoped for. Our only sadness was that we had just two nights to enjoy this magnificent accommodation. For sure, when we return to South Uist, this will be the first place we look to book, only for a bit longer next time. We were lucky to enjoy a superb sunset the first night and on the second day, an Atlantic storm rolled in, emphasizing the cozy character within as the wind and rain lashed outside. It was lovely. The beds were comfortable, although the twin beds are best suited to children. If you're tall(ish) the twin beds will be a bit of a squeeze. The double bed was lovely though and its a well-appointed en suite. Everything we needed in the kitchen for self catering was available, including complimentary eggs, milk and Tunnocks caramel wafers (my favourite)! One of our best stays ever.
