Vacation rentals with lake access in Diemen

My sister and my two nieces stayed for a week. We had a great time at Ties place. It gave us four great bedrooms. There was a great kitchen and a very comfortable living room too. It is a 30 minute walk from the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh museum. It really was a perfect home for us to hang in for a week. Ties was very flexible on check in and super responsive on messages and questions. Would certainly repeat and stay again. Thanks Ties.

Great and very clean place with wonderful and accommodating hosts. The house is well equipped and is located in quiet surroundings with the best public transport connection to ArenA, Ziggo Dome and Amsterdam center. Thank you so much! Annette’s home was a great base to explore Amsterdam with our young family. The house is about a 5-10 minute walk to the tram with regular, quick service to Amsterdam. Stores are about 10-15 mins walk. The area is peaceful and there are beautiful views from the house. The kitchen is beautiful and well appointed. The bedrooms and living room are large even by American standards. We did not use the garage but it would be very helpful for anyone exploring further afield with a car.

We had a great time at Willem's house! The house is very nice. Large enough for everyone to have their own space but with a nice space in the living room so you can spend time together. All the necessary amenities are available and everything was very clean. The outside is very nice and my daughter was delighted to enjoy the outdoor games. We felt "at home". The location was perfect, thanks to the bikes booked by Willem we were only a few minutes from the Ferry to access the center. There are also beautiful things to see around (like the Straat Museum which is superb!). In short, we highly recommend this listing!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Magical Stay on the Water! Staying at this river Airbnb in Amsterdam was hands down one of the most unique and unforgettable experiences of my travels. The location is beyond dreamy — right on the water, with stunning views of the canal life drifting by. Waking up to the gentle ripple of the river and sipping coffee on the deck felt like something out of a movie. ✨ The interior was cozy, stylish, and spotless — you can tell the hosts put a lot of love into making the space warm and welcoming. Every little detail, from the plush bedding to the curated local decor, made it feel like a true home away from home. The hosts were absolute gems — super communicative, thoughtful, and even left us a welcome gift with local treats . They gave us great recommendations for places to eat and explore, and made check-in a breeze. Being gently rocked to sleep on the river, then waking up to swans gliding past the window… I can’t imagine a better place to stay in Amsterdam

The environmental was amazing. The house has wonderfull authentic style. Above all, however, we greatly appreciated the kindness and helpfulness of the host.

Rick was a wonderful host, had a friend greet us on arrival to show us the place and gave us a little tour of the town, since he was away. Greeted us with a bottle of wine and an excellent instruction manual and recommendations of nearby “things to do” He has a lovely home in a walkable town. Rick was responsive to any concern we had. I highly recommend this property and Rick!

Erika was a wonderful host—extremely responsive, full of helpful recommendations, and accommodating. The house was a comfortable and convenient base to explore Amsterdam, with just a short walk to the tram to Central Station. It was fabulous to wake up to the sun reflecting off of the canal right outside our bedroom window and to sit by the water at the end of the day. The grocery store was one tram stop or a 10 minute walk away. Lovely neighbors gave us a tour. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

This is a perfect spot to stay in Amsterdam! It is larger than it looks in the photos, with many nice artistic decorations and advantages (you can watch a drawbridge go up and down from the deck). All the comforts of home plus a very friendly, gracious host. Convenient to the bus, tram, and a nice supermarket-- very easy to get to the attractions in the city, but you also can walk to a pretty small village and bike in the countryside. Note that this is not a good place to stay if you have mobility issues (you have to climb over other boats with your suitcase to get here) or if you really hate spiders (there are a bunch outside, a few inside. My arachnophobic husband was fine, but you will see spiderwebs.) I strongly recommend this place! I always wanted to stay on a boat and it turns out this is a common fantasy... All of your friends will be jealous.

Jacqueline was most welcoming to us. She gave us very clear directions on how to find her place. Her home was festively decorated for the holidays and she left us some special treats, including some amazing Dutch cheese. The views from the windows and balcony are nice. At checkin her instructions about how things worked in the kitchen, etc., were very helpful. Jacqueline also provided us with great information about unique places to visit in Amsterdam. Beds were quite comfortable and cozy-warm. Her cats were friendly and entertaining. The location is an easy walk to restaurants, grocery markets, and interesting shops. Transit is close by for an easy commute to museums and other places of interest. I would recommend staying at this Air BnB.

A high quality apartment with lots of nice touches by the hosts. Away from the centre so we enjoyed time amongst the local population, but just a short tram ride to reach all the attractions. We had a great few days, thank you!

The accommodation is in a beautiful and especially quiet environment. It is located about 4 km from the train station, so if you do not have a rented car, you will walk. However, bicycles are available at the accommodation, which you can use for subsequent transport to the train station. In general, the owners were very kind and helpful, the accommodation corresponds to the photos and description, it is clean and cozy. I highly recommend and thank you for a great vacation!

We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the view. The cottage was clean and tidy and equipped with everything. The view was amazing. Unfortunately, the weather did not allow it, but the beautiful moments we were able to sit on the terrace and the jetty. We stayed in cottage # 5. Highly recommended. Good beds and full equipment in the kitchen.

What a beautiful and inviting lake home very close to Gouda and all local transportation. It was fast travel to Rotterdam and only an hour from Amsterdam / both were easy access through the local train station Gouda Gowervelle. We enjoyed all the running and biking paths along the lake and canals. Shopping and sightseeing in Gouda was fun as well! (Enjoyed the cheese museum which is perfect for kids of all ages. ) The lake house was a perfect setting, neighbors are friendly and quiet and the home is spacious enough for 4 or small families and it’s simply beautiful . Enjoyed!! Great hosts and very responsive! Highly recommend.

Lovely stay at Rudis cottage.After two weeks travelling around Europe we wanted a couple of night to relax and this was the perfect place. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay and Rudi even brought us a fan when the temps hit 31 and the place was so hot. We were lucky to have a storm and be able to watch out over the nature reserve was amazing. We also ate at De Heeren van Maarssen nearby and the food was beautiful.

Beautiful house and perfect host!

Best location for access to Edam. Steps away from the cheese market. Ample parking for an SUV. Bathroom on par with American standards - nicer than most European bathrooms. Washer and dryer are full capacity. Enough sleeping space for a family of six. Playground in front of house. Hosts nice and responsive. Cobbled roads and narrow homes do make Edam not ADA friendly like much of Europe.

Lonneke’s place is an absolute dream! Nestled in a quaint town surrounded by beauty. We loved walking around town, visiting the local restaurant, stopping in at the local market for fresh bread, and riding bikes along the canal. It’s the perfect distance from Amsterdam in that you can head into town for the hustle and bustle of the city, and return to a peaceful place to relax and disconnect.

Angelique picked us up right at the parking lot and showed us everything in detail. She even brought my suitcase to the house in a wheelbarrow and organized a boat for us for two days, absolutely great! The cottage is in an absolutely quiet location, right on a canal and beautifully decorated. Just perfect to spend a few quiet days. Absolute tip, you can even take a boat directly into the city, dock there and shop, eat or shop :) We'd love to come back anytime!

We enjoyed our stay very much. Of course, the location is great, as well as the area. We can recommend a walk to Loenen aan de Vecht and also a trip to the beautiful city of Utrecht. Check-in and check-out at the property is great and uncomplicated. It was wonderful to sit on the terrace, swim from there and enjoy nature.
