Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Denmark

We (a family of four with kids 8 and 10) spent ten days at Maia's Airbnb. The house and garden are very peaceful and welcoming, styled beautifully. Our kids loved the cats and chickens. The house is very close to the train station, very convenient for traveling to Copenhagen or other places. The trains are very quiet and we rarely heard them. There are grocery shops nearby and a park with a playground. Unfortunately, the coffee shop and some of the restaurants were closed for the month of July. The main bedroom is located on the ground floor, the other three upstairs. Communication with Maia and Christian was easy and pleasant and they left us a nice brochure with a lot of information for everything we needed to know about our stay.

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful accommodation very much. Inge and Bent have designed the old house very lovingly with a sense of specialness. It makes you feel immediately welcome. Inge and Bent welcomed us kindly and warmly. On our arrival, the fire bursted. The two showed us around and explained everything important to us. We were only there for 2 nights, but we can wholeheartedly recommend the small cozy house. When we are around again, we will be happy to stop by again. Thank you for everything. Very beautiful and quiet area in the middle of a natural idyll. In Søren's house you can relax excellently with a good book in front of the fireplace or just let the view wander into the distance, in the sauna or long beach walks... I enjoyed the time very much and felt very comfortable!

We had a lovely time in the house over Christmas. The hosts were very responsive and kind. The house is a bit old but everything was clean and comfortable. The house is very spacious and warm, even in winter. It was the perfect base for us to visit family and friends. Would definitely rent again.

Charming townhouse with wood-burning stove, acove, and other original features. Very cozy and lovely enclosed garden. Located perfect if you want to experience black sun, a trip to Rømø and experience the march tower. The hosts quickly write back and we felt really welcome.

Big recommendation! This cozy cottage has everything you need if you long for peace and quiet luxury. The subtle smell of smoke in the air, the crackling of the fire pared with quite music from the B&O speaker, the stylish armchairs in front of the fireplace that you can't get enough of looking at it when the morning sun shines through the small windows: everything has its right place and the charm of the old house has been translated into the present. We couldn’t even use all the perks of the property due to our short stay, but we loved every hour. We will definitely come back. Thank you, Gitte & Gunnar

We stayed at Theis several times and as always our last stay went very well. Theis is a very nice host, easily available if needed. The apartment is super well located ( shop, train station nearby...)

This place is a real gem. The apartment is cosy, really stylish and the host is lovely. The bathroom is beautiful, the beds are comfy and the balcony has a nice view. I would come back anyday.

Jakob's place was a delightful: full of centuries-old charm and character, blended with modern amenities which created a stylish and comfortable space. The location is perfect for exploring the city. We loved being surrounded by great restaurants, shops, and easy access to the metro. The apartment itself was immaculately clean and well-equipped. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a unique and convenient place to stay.

Hans has been a great host and his apartment was perfect. It is large, bright and very well set-up. We had all we needed and the neighbourhood is lively and fun. One thing to be aware of is that the apartment is on the fifth floor with no lift, but this was clear to us and not an issue, but important to consider for people with mobility issues. The apartment is very well equiped and comfortable. The internet was fast and reliable, and while the nights can be lively in the area, the bedroom overlooks the inside courtyard and given the top level of the apartment noise was not a problem. A great feature is the roof-top terrace although in practice everyone ends up congregating on the streets and around the lake. It is is very well positioned and within 5-10 min of Norreport station which is is a 30 min ride direct to the airport. Walking into town takes about 15-20 min. I would not choose to stay in another location in Copenhagen.

Excellent stay at Phil and Katrin's place. Very nice, quiet location. Everything necessary is present in the room. Nice communication! So recommended.

The Rikke’s apartment is a fantastic option for families with children or people looking for a place to work remotely. The apartment is spacious, I have the impression that it is larger than it seems in the photos. There is a kitchen with a living room, bedroom, children's room and a room for work. Only the bathroom is tiny but it has a comfortable shower. The apartment is equipped with the necessary things for cooking and cleaning. The area is quiet and good for walks: close to the sea, the port, the Viking ship museum or the city center. For (cyclists) eager for big-city experience, the proximity of Copenhagen (to which a great bike path leads) is a big attraction. I highly recommend the Rikke Apartment.

This is a beautiful villa that comes with everything you could possibly need to host a small family. We immediately felt quite cozy in the space as the decorations were present, but not overstated. everything was very easy to find, the beds were made, and we even received a little gift on arrival! The surrounding neighborhood is incredibly safe as well. 10/10.

Very nice home with good way to park 2-3 cars. Host extremely friendly and the location of the beautifully decorated house is centrally located in Aarhus. From there, the city center can be reached in a 20-minute walk. The furnishings are very homely and cozy and invite you to feel good. It was a great visit. For larger groups of up to 10 people, the whole thing is suitable, but other sounds also live in the house, so you should pay attention to the quiet hours here - so as a base for excursions top - the accommodation is more intended for relaxation and quiet evenings.

A wonderful house. We stayed here for the second time and will be back. A very nice amenities, great location and a very dedicated host.

Pure nature in an historical house

Ulrik nice place was a really good setting for a weekend with three generations. Several people love to play games and it was possible both in the living room on the 1st floor and at the long table in the living room. Others were happy to cook, and here the spacious kitchen is perfect for more people to cook. A really good house to be in many. Plus, there are great views from the house and rich opportunities for walks. Ulrik was easy to reach both before and during. We would highly recommend the house.

Birgitte was the perfect host! Always responding very quickly and very personal. She made the stay for us really great and welcoming.

A wonderful large beach house with style - our multigenerational family loved this home. Access to the beach right across the street was wonderful and Henning was a gracious and very accessible to answer and address all our questions. This was a great beach house just a short train ride out of Copenhagen!
