We were a walking party of 6 men (of a certain age!). Jocelyn's welcome was extremely warm and kind. The house had everything we needed and was beautifully presented; clean and tidy with a lovely kitchen. We had a marvellous stay.

Photos don’t do this house justice, it’s so lovely! Loved the log burner and fully stocked kitchen (including basics e.g tea / coffee). Comfy beds and sofas and great location too (5 min walk in town centre). Parking is off street, couple mins walk from the house, so not too bad. Would definitely visit again!

We stayed at Gwen and Mark's place for 5 days. The place was amazing and had everything we needed. We travelled with three dogs, and Gwen and Mark kindly prepared some dog supplies for us. It was very close to a big supermarket, where we could stock our supplies. The main street was just 5 5-minute walk away. It is not exactly within the country park, but all the attractions are still very accessible by car. I am happy to recommend this Airbnb to anyone travelling to that area.

Good base for walks around the Lakes and Tarns. House was fine for our needs. The balcony is a great little sun trap, no view but there are trees providing green scenery. Not over looked. Bed was comfy. All clean and the diffusers made it smell pleasant. Barely 5 mins walk into the central area of Bowness.

Really nice apartment with 3 bedrooms and at a central location. Jenny is very kind and easy to communicate with too.

Had a fantastic girly weekend at Robs place. We arrived early and Rob kindly allowed is to check in few hours before the actual check in time. The house was very clean and perfect for exploring the local area on foot as everything was accessible. Will definitely return if we come to the lake district again. Thanks Rob for a fab stay!!!

Lovely cozy space for three adults. It was just as described and we really appreciated the breakfast provisions! Bathrooms were very clean and bedrooms are comfy and have good storage space. We enjoyed the walk into town for dinners and to have a look round the shops. Nice to be able to park in the street just outside the door.

The whole experience was excellent. Very professional. The accommodation was spotless and furnished to a very high standard with lots of attention to detail. Easy parking and garage in such a central location made life very easy. Great value for money.

Lovely, cosy house in a good location close to Bowness and Windermere. The house was immaculate when we arrived and check-in and check out was seamless with the instructions provided.

We enjoyed a lovely peaceful stay. It was great to have the lakes and fells right on our doorstep. With the Pheasant Inn just across the road it was nice and easy to walk for a pint in the beer garden on a sunny day. Thanks for having us.

Beautiful house in a central location. Well kept, very clean and comfortable for five adults and a 5year old. Great base to explore the wider Lake District.

Tony thankfully accepted a last minute booking for one night and was friendly and hospitable. Enjoyed interesting chats and also entertainment from Smudge (13 week old kitten!). Lovely room with comfortable bed and nearby bathroom.

Great property in a central location in Carlisle. Everything was great about the house - clean, all the required features and amenities and couldnt have asked for better comms from Nanu. Highly recommend if you are wanting a stay in Carlisle centre.

We stayed in the property for one night as we came to the Lake District to complete a couple of the peaks, the property was around half an hour from where we wanted to be so felt a really good location. We did Scafell Pike and Catbells. The Home was really welcoming and fantastic location. See inside was very clean and we received a really helpful message before checking with all the information that we would need to know.

David is such a lovely man and very helpful. His home is big, bright and beautiful. The bedroom is large, well equipped and super comfortable and it is very private. I had a desk to work from and an electric heater was handy when it got slightly chilly. Having a second room filled with chairs and a multitude of teas, coffees and chocolate biscuits was fabulous. The bathroom was spotless and having access to the kitchen was a huge deal. I didn't do much cooking but being able to store things in the fridge, warm up my homemade stew and eat with Dave's utensils was very useful. I had a couple of lovely conversations with David too. All in all, a truly fabulous place to stay and so much better than a hotel. Great base if you want to go into the Lakes or need to do things in the area - right next to the bus station and not far from the train station either. Thoroughly recommended and I'd go back in a shot.

Absolutely beautiful place in a stunning part of the country. Ideal for Hadriens wall and other walks. I would definitely book again.

Hannah was welcoming, friendly and really helpful yet not intrusive - a perfect host. It's a short and easy walk into town, everything was clean and tidy, and better than described in the listing in many respects. It felt like staying with a friend of a friend, an exemplary AirBnB.
