House vacation rentals in City of Carlisle

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Mark the host gave us super easy and clear instructions to get to, and get in the caravan which made things super easy. The caravan is absolutely stunning, so clean inside with absolutely everything you need, from plates, cleaning products, even a slow cooker and dishwasher. Everything was left for our one year old including a cot and blankets, and they even had bubbles, loads of games and books for all ages. The WiFi worked really well and honestly we couldn’t fault it. The site was lovely, although there wasn’t loads to do for the kids, they made use of the golf, football pitches and pool. The entertainment was decent and we even won £500 at bingo! Thanks for a lovely stay!

We had an amazing stay! The cottage was just as described and in the perfect location so we hardly had to use the car at all and were able to walk to Windermere, Bowness and Brockhole with our two girls ( 13 and 8). The use of the nearby pool was an added bonus after a day in the mountains. We’ll definitely be back! 😀

This place was beyond our expectations. Immaculately presented, super clean, tidy, jaw dropping views. I can't fault it in any way and I can't rate it highly enough. Will definately look to return in the future. Stunning!

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Badgers Rest. The home was beautifully clean, had everything we needed and in a great location. The facilities were amazing nearby too.

Would 100% recommend staying at the Riverain Coach House. We recently stayed with some friends and enjoyed local walks close to the house, a good selection of local pubs nearby but would recommend pre-booking to avoid disappointment. However with Penrith and shops being only 10 minutes away, it wasn't a problem. The house has been done up beautifully and is really well equipped. Christine was great, providing lots of helpful information before our stay and the welcome hamper went down a treat. Thank you so much, we would 100% stay again.

Beautiful house in a great location a short walk from Keswick. Modern and high end finish to the house and had everything we needed for our stay. We visit Keswick on a regular basis and this has been one of our best visits yet!

Lovely house with a fantastic patio area / walled private garden - we were lucky to have beautiful weather whilst there, and got to enjoy dinner in the peaceful garden both evenings. Family of 9 (adults and children) plus a small dog, and a perfect time was had by all. House was very clean, with lots of space for everyone. We would definitely return in the future.

The house was as described. Very quiet on an evening. Great location for walking in the lakes following our walk up Scarfell Pike and Ennerdale. It’s not particularly a tourist location but a great base! All locals really friendly and Everything was expected and described.

I highly recommend this place. House was like a show home, absolutely spotlessly clean. Fantastic location, just a short walk from Keswick town center.

We had a lovely family time at Kempton House. The location is great just 10 minutes walk to the Windermere pier. There are lots of restaurants around. Lovely decorations, stylish dining room and living room. It’s children friendly too. Georgie provides cot and a bucket of toys, which is very helpful to keep the kids busy. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

A beautiful retreat in a beautiful part of the world. A great place for a meeting amongst friends. Plenty of space, extra blankets for cold nights and a fire to keep warm. An amazing authentic experiences which was loved by all of us. This was a place to remember. Thanks.

We were a group of 4 adults, 2 children and 2 very young babies (3 months and 5 months), and had a lovely weekend stay here. The house was very spacious, had everything that we needed (dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, sky tv) and was in a beautiful location. The value for money was excellent, especially considering the size of the house. We did use the hot tub, however didn't light it until 7pm, so by 10pm, it was only just getting warm and we didn't get to enjoy it for too long. We all agreed that we will book again in the future, and will be recommending to others!

What a slice of heaven! Beautiful house in a stunning location, with super helpful hosts. Plenty of space for the whole family and the dogs. Great base to get out and explore large parts of the local area, but also within walking distance of places too. Everyone in our family loved it, so much so we have already rebooked. Beautiful house with so much character. The location was so peaceful yet close to Dumfries where we were easily able to get take-out for dinner. We only stayed one night as a stopover on our way home but we found the house to be comfortable and well-equipped. The milk and water in the fridge plus all the seasonings/spices in the kitchen were such a nice surprise that we don't often find in AirBnBs, as were the very nice bathroom amenities. The only thing I'd mention - our daughter had us up at 5:30 am because there are only curtains, no blinds/shutters, in the bedrooms and, although the curtains are thick, it was still very bright in the bedrooms as soon as the sun started rising, which is very early at this time of year. Just keep this in mind if you're coming with young kids who are light sleepers!

This is a great holiday home with comfy sofas and beds. Easy to walk into Keswick and a bonus having a drive to park on. Handy garage for bikes or to put wet pushchairs in to dry off! Lovely location with views of latrigg and Skiddaw. Great place to stay and would definitely stay here again if holidaying in the Lake District! Thanks Helen for sharing your lovely house 😊

We had a great time staying. Carolines house is lovely and had everything we needed for a long weekend. Throughout our stay there was a problem with hot tub which was out of Caroline's hands but she made sure to compensate with a meal on her which was very much appreciated. Lots of lovely little touches and gifts around the house. Would definitely come back and see this place in the warmer weather thanks for having us.

We spent a lovely few days at the cottage in Coniston. It is ideally situated for visiting lots of very interesting and beautiful places, Holehird Gardens and Brantwood House to name but two. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean and exactly as advertised. Sue and Brad were very quick to answer any questions we had. Highly recommended!
