Family-friendly vacation rentals in Châteaubernard

Thanks again to Sylvie and her husband. We were hosted very well. The accommodation is impeccable, the view is magnificent and we were in a quiet area. We didn't have time to enjoy the SPA but it looks amazing. We'll be back without a second thought. Thank you again for your kindness.

Very quiet accommodation, very nice terrace. The amenities are accurate to the photos. Easy access secure parking. Self check-in and checkout with the key box.

Everything is relaxing. The old stone mill and its green environment for the eyes, the sound of the river and the birdsong for the ears, the smell of trees in bloom and cut grass. The mill is a 5-10 minute walk to all the amenities that the small medieval town of Pons offers. Louise and Michael welcomed us warmly, caring about our well-being in their home while preserving our privacy. We had a great weekend at Moulin Chaillou, we can only recommend it. Thanks Louise, thank you Michael.

We had a great weekend with friends at Roz's. The house is very beautiful, clean, spacious. Everything is provided (bed linen, towels, etc.). Small touches were waiting for us, it's a plus that we really appreciated. The many activities available on site occupied us well, we did not leave the weekend house: pool, jacuzzi, billiards, ping pong, darts, etc. Small dedication to Bob who welcomed us very warmly!

Jean Marcel is an excellent host, a great welcome. The night at the mill is a unique experience, to be redone!

Nadine and Daniel are truly outstanding hosts! They went above and beyond to prepare everything for us, ensuring we had a seamless and enjoyable stay. We absolutely loved chatting with them and indulging in the delightful meals at Nadine's table. It was a warm and memorable experience that made our time in France incredibly special! If I could give more than five stars, I would, because five stars are simply not enough to convey how exceptional they truly are.

We had a pleasant night in the trailer, the setting is peaceful and the host was very welcoming. Breakfast is very full. We do not regret our choice and would highly recommend it!

The house is very large, the amenities are of quality and everyone has their own space. It has everything you need for a good vacation. The garden is nice and it's a good place to stay. Be careful, however, with small children because the doors do not close properly and the garden is not enclosed.

We had a pleasant stay. The home is located in a beautiful wooded and peaceful park. Caroline welcomed us very warmly, always caring, very friendly and always listening to our needs. We recommend stays with Caroline.

Nice house in a peaceful space. For a stay for families or groups of friends, it is the perfect place, surrounded by fields of sunflowers and corn. I can only recommend this lovely place! Additional information: be careful to have his obedient dog because the garden is open:-)

We had a fantastic week at La Gigon, so peaceful and relaxing, it had all we needed and more. Our 3 kids (6-9 years) had a ball in the pool and using all the games room had to offer. Judy was friendly and easy to communicate with and Jackie her property manager was welcoming and lovely. I highly recommend La Gigon and would love to return in the future.

This is the second time we've come, the cottage is still as pleasant as its host. I would recommend it

We absolutely loved our stay at Rose's place in Villefagnan, for many reasons. Yvette greeted us, showed us how to use everything, and answered all my questions and requests for help. Rose's home is very comfortable. Top quality beds, pillows and linens, empty dressers so we didn't have to live out of a suitcase, a fully equipped kitchen, the list goes on. The beautiful backyard, with grass, flowers and cherry trees was our favorite place to spend a sunny afternoon. And the village of Villefagnan is wonderful, too. The town square is 2 houses away, and the patisserie is just across the square, so we had fresh croissants every morning. Two restaurants, a bouchère, a corner market, Tobac, and a pharmacy make up the rest of the village, everything you need. There are bike roads in every direction, so our dogs enjoyed long walks every day. The locals are friendly and welcoming. We can't wait to go back.

We felt very comfortable in Karine's beautiful house and were able to enjoy our stay very much despite bad weather. Karine and her aunt Chantal, who welcomed us very well, are very friendly, helpful and straightforward. Surroundings is quiet and idyllic yet very close to the beautiful town of Jonzac with bakery, shops and everything you need - we will be happy to come back.

Sylvie and Philippe are present without being intrusive. They share their knowledge of the area and have great tips for visits. The exchanges that took place during the days were very valuable. The cottage is very nice (top-notch equipment, indisputable cleanliness and very well-maintained exteriors... so many places to enjoy). It was an enchanted interlude, a real haven of peace. Thank you for the quality of this cottage...not to mention the tour and tasting 😉 Looking forward to seeing you on a future visit.

We loved staying here. The property is a ten minute drive from Saintes and all that is has to offer. We had a day at La Rochelle, a day at the beach in Royan and a lazy day or two in the beautiful garden. We would really love to come and stay here again!

We had a brilliant two weeks at Philippe’s gite. It is located in a charming village with good amenities- bakery/shop, restaurant/bar, public tennis courts and lovely cycle rides and walks right on the doorstep. The weather was hot and sunny and we enjoyed the refreshing pool and outdoor dining areas. Everything has been carefully arranged for the comfort of guests and philippe was welcoming and discreet. Would highly recommend this for a family or group of families to visit. A bit of a drive to sightseeing places but we found lots of nice parks and the little lake nearby was lovely!

Benoît and his wife were very welcoming. we highly recommend them. very nice and peaceful site. we were two couples for a relaxing weekend. it was perfect, absolute calm! 👌🏻

The accommodation is very tastefully and fully furnished with good furniture, lots of books, art on the wall etc. Outside is a beautiful terrace with barbecue. A little further away is the lovely natural pool with seating. Adrian's estate (and Vicky) also consists of his own home, some beautiful old stables and other houses, a meadow with donkeys, an artist's studio and a vegetable garden. The whole is very charming, peaceful and in a green natural setting. Adrian himself (Vicky was in England) is very nice and the welcome was very warm with a chest of vegetables, fruits, homemade jam, etc. We had a wonderful week at Adrian's place as a family (6 adults and a baby) and we can highly recommend this accommodation.

For us it was perfect - every day we loved it even more. The house is charming, welcoming and provided with everything you need. The garden - wonderful and buzzing with nature. The pool - great - perfect after a day of adventures. Marie is a very special person who only has us in the Charente 'everything is beautiful' - she is right!
