Discovery of the "Côte des Blancs" Grand Cru and the famous village and vineyard of Hautvillers in the historic hillsides of Champagne of the Marne Valley near Epernay listed as World Heritage Site by UNESCO. In Hautvillers, village called the “Cradle of Champagne”, guided tour of the church of Dom Pérignon and the vineyard. Pause at the most beautiful viewpoint of Champagne and gain more understanding of vineyard management. Discovery tour of the "Côte des Blancs", famous area for its Grand Cru Chardonnay 100% Blanc de Blancs. Visit the production site of a family of independent producer/grower followed by commented tasting of a selection of 3 Champagnes Grand Cru, as well as the essential Champagne alcohols and aperitifs during additional tastings. Commented passage through the "Avenue de Champagne" in Epernay, Capital of the Champagne vineyard, called “the most expensive Avenue in the World” with its 200 million bottles in the cellars.

Be welcomed in Mareuil-sur-Ay at a typical Champagne House in the middle of Champagne vineyards (Le Clos Corbier). During the visit to the cellars dug in the 1850’s, you will start with the discovery of a traditional press and learn all about the secrets of the champagne making process. Take a seat and enjoy your tasting class with a champagne quiz then train your nose to identify the different aromas and flavors that can be found in champagne through an olfactory workshop. Get competitive as you blindly identify 3 different champagnes from the family including one Grand Cru Vintage. You will enjoy some local sweet treats and finger food paired with your champagnes ! I will welcome you on the estate then you will present the Champagne as a whole. In a second time, we go in the vineyards to present you different grape varieties, as well as work in progress. Then we walk in the village on foot to join our traditional press. I you explained his cycle of harvest, winemaking and champagne. Guided visit of our cellar, you will know about vinification methods and champagne production. Wine tasting is planned to be done after the visit, you will be offered a glass as a souvenir. Other things to note 1 hour and a half in total. For any cancellation, please let us know 48 hours in advance and think about deleting your registration on Airbnb. The tour is available in English everyday except on Mondays, Tuesday and Sunday mornings on demand.

I offer you a guided tour of the facilities with press, vat room and cellar, during which I will explain champagne vinification to you. You will follow the grape path, from the press to the bottle. To end the visit, I offer you an aperitif dinner accompanied by half a bottle of champagne per person with an exceptional view. (you can take the bottles not consumed on site). Your Champagne experience ends after lunch around 1:30pm.

We will welcome you at 9:00 am in front of the tourist office at Reims Center station, to start your day in Champagne through the vineyards and then to Epernay and its famous Avenue de Champagne, where several prestigious Champagne Houses are located. After a drive in Champagne country to a typical Champagne House, Le Clos Corbier, your bikes will be ready for you to ride. Your e-bike will allow you to explore some of Champagne’s most remote locations. Deserve your Champagne glasses cycling through Premier and Grand Cru villages, and fully experience the complexity of our terroir. Earn your glass of Champagne by pedaling an electric bike through the UNESCO-listed Champagne vines. Learn all the details of the vineyard and the “French Terroir”. Discover the birthplace of Champagne in the picturesque village of Hautvillers where Champagne was discovered. Take a step back in time for a few moments and discover the history of Champagne. Then visit the church where the famous monk Dom Perignon lived and is buried. Experience a ride alongside the Marne canal to make your way back to Le Clos Corbier. Do a cellar visit and tastings followed by a lunch, which consists of homemade regional specialties paired with a variety of champagnes, at a family domaine. After a day rich in experiences and precious memories, I will drop you off at 4:00 p.m. in Reims.
