Blacksmith's workshop

In ancient times, the house was a blacksmith's workshop with his small adjacent home. Recently renovated in a contemporary style, it has become a two-story residence of about 80 square meters. On the ground floor is the living area with the dining table, kitchen, bathroom and a wine pantry, reached by a wooden staircase with staggered steps. A second black iron staircase leads to the intermediate mezzanine where the study is organized. The balustrade becomes the worktop and overlooks the double height. On the first floor, there are two bedrooms with an en-suite bathroom. The floors are in resin-coated concrete and part with tiles in recycled cement paste; the upper floor is finished with parquet. Particularly unique are the vintage furnishings, the lighting of the rooms and the contemporary art paintings by a young Sicilian artist-designer. The house is equipped with winter and summer air conditioning, Wi-Fi, TV and dishwasher. A few kilometers away is the beach of Porto Palo (Blue Flag) with the possibility of boat trips, ultralight flights and bike rentals. Nearby, less than a 25-minute drive, you can play golf at the beautiful Golf Verdura Resort. The most important archaeological sites of Sicily are easily reachable: Selinunte (15 minutes), Cave di Cusa (25 minutes), Segesta (45 minutes), Eraclea Minoa (40 minutes) and Agrigento and "Scala dei Turchi" (50 minutes) To visit: the city of Sciacca, Sambuca di Sicilia (Borgo più bello d'Italia 2016), the Literary Park of Tomasi di Lampedusa in Santa Margherita (15 minutes), the "Cretto di Burri" in Gibellina (30 minutes), the Stagnone di Marsala (Mothia), the Saline and the city of Trapani, Erice (all about 60 minutes by car) The city is well connected to Palermo's Falcone Borsellino and Trapani Birgi airports, both within an hour's drive.

We had an amazing stay at the villa ! The photos didn’t do the villa justice, the view was 10x more stunning in person! The villa was well equipped and was an amazing place to stay ! You did need a car to get to the lovely village up the road it was about a 10minute drive but we didn’t find this to be a problem at all 😁 would very much recommend this villa ! Staff were very friendly and gave us lots of local information and recommendations. It was like something out of a TV show it was so spotless ! And the pool was a very nice size 😁

We had a wonderful stay in Francesco’s apartment. It is spacious, nicely decorated, and comfortable. It’s an intriguing old building and the apartment has some beautiful original touches - painted vaulted ceilings and stone transoms imbedded in the walls. The location enabled us to easily explore this fascinating city and beyond - by foot, bus, and rail. Lots of food shops and restaurants, bars nearby. It became home during our 9 night stay. Francesco was an excellent host, meeting us promptly at the appointed time, responding to our confusion with the tv, and calling to say goodbye as we had to leave very early in the morning.
