Vacation rentals with lake access in Cape Breton Island

Fantastic place for our annual girls get away! 4 of us girls each had our own place to sleep. Amazing kitchen with everything you need. I loved the open concept with breathtaking views!! I could even keep an eye on my 70 year old Mom who was fishing off the dock while I was busy in the kitchen lol We will definitely be going back ♥️

The house is modern and lovely with large windows and a deck looking out on the water. The house is large and filled with light, it’s clean and attractive and comfortable. The host John is highly responsive, answers all questions very quickly. It is 1 mile from town which makes it very convenient, and it is also very private and quiet.

Andrea was very responsive and really kind. Place was lovely. We enjoyed our 2-night stay and we will definitely come back. Recommended!

Our stay here was absolutely perfect. The cottage was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The lake view was a highlight, and we spent many relaxing hours enjoying it. The location was ideal, with easy access to hiking trails which we enjoyed thoroughly. Michael was a fantastic host, very responsive and helpful. We can't wait to return!

We loved our month-long stay, the house here are the highlights: Residence in a good location to discover the island of Cap Breton and its surroundings. Very quiet place away from the neighbors, right across the marina. Beautiful residence, very clean, full of beautiful windows, comfortable and well air-conditioned Very popular outdoor fire pit and pergolas. All services and restorations are within a mile Nature is very present all around the house (deer, foxes, squirrels, crabs, cormorants, herons, blue jay, fishing martin, etc.). Things to consider: No curtain in the master bedroom. No mosquito net in all the windows then, chose mosquitoes or air conditioning. Dining table for only 6 people seated (advertised; maximum of 8 guests). Very briefly equipped kitchen Many light bulbs are burned inside and out and none A big thank you to our hosts for the stay!

I had a group of four families (with young children) stay at both the eagle and the sun house. The houses were very clean and spacious. We had plenty of room for our group and even had multiple unused bedrooms. The view is spectacular from both houses - especially the sun house. The pictures don’t do it justice. There’s no air conditioning in the houses, but we were kept cool by opening the windows and using the many fans that were provided in the rooms. It was fine during our stay, but I could imagine the upstairs rooms may get stuffy if you happen to visit during a particularly warm period. There’s a walk down the hill to the beach on the lake, and the beach is rocky so don’t expect to bring young kids swimming. Even if you’re feeling adventurous you’ll need water shoes to get around. Overall a great experience and a good way for a large group to visit Cape Breton

There are not enough words to say how outstanding the experience was at Caper Landing and with our host Nikki. I don’t know what else could have been provided but a generous basket of gifts including a lobster stuffie and knit swag toque hats for all 10 of us set the scene for all the delights of the place. So many amenities, even fireproof blankets for the fire pit, the spa like bathrooms, the most fully equipped kitchen I had ever seen, all added up to a luxury hotel experience with Airbnb convenience for a large party. Both levels were unbelievably kitted out, with the lower level giving us all we needed in a second gathering space with all the toys including shuffleboard, games, card table and so much more. Two mirrored floors of beds and baths, with two principle suites and two extra full baths meant everyone had privacy and restful retreats. Everything was first class and beyond. We are booking our return for next year! Brava, Nikki, you rock!

The location is great, and the view is breathtaking. Jonathan and Adrea were most helpful.

Beautiful area, view and beach. Very clean place and well thought out. Warm welcoming by Christian. Villages aren’t close, good to have everything you need although some food can be found on site.

Literally so happy that I found this place. The host really adapts to your needs. For me, since I booked it for 11 people, he accommodated us with more beds. On top of that, we had soo much fun with the ping pong table, the jacuzzi and the board games. The beach, which took 5 minutes, had some fantastic views. Would absolutely recommend that place for sure!

This was a perfect spot for our stay in Baddeck. Loved how walkable it was. Missed the wood stove that has been removed.

I had an amazing stay at this Airbnb! The place was spotless, cozy, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The best part was the stunning views—absolutely breathtaking! Perfect for a relaxing retreat. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

Jonathan’s accommodation was absolutely perfect. The place was impeccably clean and the view from the bedroom was gorgeous. Although it is on the main road, there is no noise from cars etc. It was easy to find and check-in was seamless. Jonathan and his team definitely go the extra mile to ensure the place is ad advertised and more. We loved our stay and we will definitely be back! Thank you, Jonathan!

We stayed for one night in blue room, the room was cozy and tidy. Well maintained property with ocean view in the backyard. I thank Christian for making us comfortable at their place.

We had an amazing stay at Sheila’s home. Cannot recommend it enough, especially for a family getaway. Convenient location, amazing amenities, picturesque landscape, and amazing communication with the host. We will be back again.

We had an amazing stay! The host was so helpful before and throughout our trip.

Very peaceful and relaxing place to stay. The area is beautiful and quiet. The kayaks are great to paddle around in the calm water, and the fire pit is perfect for cooler evenings. We had numerous cloudy days and no trouble with the solar power. The hosts are very responsive and helpful.

The house on the lake was just what we needed to enjoy a cousin get-away! The house has plenty of indoor space to socialize and relax. The outdoor space was stunning ~ loons, heron, and otters entertained us in the lake. There are extra bedrooms and bathroom in the converted garage. It is very peaceful and the scenery is beautiful.

Loved everything about the cabin - may need an update for hot plate in kitchen but barbecue worked great. Attention to every detail including farmers matches, little flash lights, & rechargeable night light. We had 2 fabulous campfires, did stargazing & even had a full moon. We also enjoyed several Celtic Colours Festival events!

This is our third time visiting these cabins. They are fantastic each and every time we come. Our visit was in the winter this time and during a storm. The owner was very communicative with us, and the drive was plowed early so access was decent. There was a shovel provided that we used frequently. The heat pump kept the place very toasty. however I don't believe there is much insulation underneath the cabins, so if you are travelling in the winter, bring slippers or else you'll have very cold feet!
