Second time staying here with a group of friends. It’s beautiful and very well appointed! Smoke space for everyone to feel like they had their own corner, but enough areas for intimate conversations and group gatherings.

We had a wonderful stay at Lavender Cottage! The property had everything we needed. I would gladly have stayed on longer if time allowed! Tim was an excellent host, easy to get hold of and responded quickly to everything.

We took some clients for a tour through the wine lands and we all loved our stay and felt very comfortable at the Villa!Well appointed and furnished. Everyone had their own ensuite bathroom which was great. We will definitely be back!

The position is beautiful with views in all directions from the third floor and one can hear the sea at night when drifting off to sleep. The living areas and kitchen have every amenity one needs to feel comfortable and and to have a special stay. The house is walking distance from beach, extremely spacious and well appointed. We all had a lovely break. Thank you Jutta for your efforts.

Liezi was an amazing host. Was always at hand for any questions we had, gave us restaurant recommendations and always kept in touch with us. 269 On Main is perfectly positioned for visiting Hermanus and surroundings. Eugene and Suzette couldn't have been better hosts; their greeting was warm with fresh bread and wine on arrival, any queries were immediately answered and they made us feel v welcome. The view is spectacular, I really can't say enough about how peaceful it is but still only 20mins to Tulbagh and wine farms. Home is sizable and ideal for a group, especially for cooking and just hanging out. Only tip is to ensure you're driving a bakkie and are prepped for the dirt road, but it's well worth it!

Great location, house and host!

We had a wonderful time at the house. It is a beautiful home and this was actually our second time staying here because we enjoyed it so much. Perfect location, lovely walks and a warm, welcoming space for the family.

It is a fantastic location and the views of lake and mountain are lovely. The host is really responsive and easy to deal with. This is a great house for groups of friends and family wanting to get away. Lots of space and hideaways for larger groups.

We (as a large family group of 10) all thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay in Sue’s very special family holiday home. Large and spacious, with its fantastic location (at the base of the mountain/five minutes drive to popular beaches/the famous cliff walk as well as many great restaurants and shops that are only a short drive away), to the exquisite sea and mountain view’s from multiple large windows and balconies, to the beautiful decor (incl very comfy beds, quality linen and great shower heads), the open plan and well equipped kitchen and multiple eating and lounging areas as well as the fabulous outdoor veranda area with a wonderful splash pool, Weber braai and pizza oven…. This listing truly has it ALL! (including a newly renovated kids bedroom with two bunk beds as well). Tammy was a fantastic host (very responsive and helpful) and we would definitely return in a heartbeat. Thank you for creating and sharing this special listing with us all.

Epic stay at a beautiful place. Good comms with India in the run up and Anton helpful during our stay. He also cooked us a beautiful roast lamb dinner which we highly recommend. 5 stars all round. The house is perfectly situated, yes it is a bit tired in places but it only adds to the charm. The beds are comfy and the bathrooms in good condition and the garden an absolute gem. Don't hesitate to book

We just spent 10 days at Coastal Mellows and could not recommend it more. The house is a few minutes walk from Central Hermanus which we loved. The house is beautiful, spacious with everything that you could need. We would love to return next time we are in the area

Beautiful modern home within walking distance to beach. Decor is warm and relaxed. Great kitchen and living area, spaces to just chill. Housekeeper, Edward,was amazing at looking after us.Had a wonderful week with the family.

Beautiful House in Hermanus if you’re looking to stay with a group of Friends or Family. The House is a short 5 mins walk from the beautiful Grotto Beach as well as other beaches which are accessible via the Cliff Walk. Lovely house, tastefully decorated throughout. Lovely Patio areas to the front with a Pool and a Braai and seating out the back ideal for entertaining in the evenings. We really loved the House.

Our family of 5 spent a wonderful week in this beautiful house over new years. The house is in a great position in Voelklip - it is very secure and well kitted out. Lovely to sit outside in the shaded garden in the evenings and kids loved the pool. Great hosts and easy check-in and check-out. We will be back!

This stay was perfect for our group of 7 - even more space than we needed. The house and property are unbelievably beautiful, and it was so relaxing. It’s a relatively easy uber into town, while having privacy and space for your stay. The hosts were very friendly and responsive, making everything easy. Definitely recommend!

This house is just a dream, so much character from the outside hugged by lush greenery and trees. We loved the clean stylish space inside that immediately puts your mind at ease and adored the furnishings/pictures collected on their travels. The garden is big equipped with sunbeds and chairs and the we enjoyed the pool with mountain views. We enjoyed sitting in front of the fire at night. You really can't beat the location! Located behind Le Quartier Francaise, we loved taking a 3 minute walk to the village where there are so many restaurants. We experienced Yama and Eleven for dinner and loved eating at Terbodore everyday for breakfast. For families, we recommend visiting Pigcasso, as you can feed the animals which is fun and it is beautiful. Jo's beautiful house was absolutely perfect for our family of 4.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Marlicia’s beautiful property in Franschhoek. It was super clean, very well appointed and a great location to explore this wonderful area. Marlicia was a wonderful host. She gave us lots of great recommendations and provided a few nice surprises when we arrived. She made us feel right at home. Would recommend to anyone to stay here.

Just speechless. The place is beautiful, well located, and has every facility in the home you may possible need! My partner (who has little reaction to anything) said it was what he imagined paradise to be like. You can tell that so much detail went into the home - it was truly a sanctuary and we hope to stay here again. Thank you x

Such a beautiful place. An awesome setting. The property is very well maintained. All necessary equipment or requirements fully met. Had a close encounter with a snake, which is not unexpected in the mountains. Flies a little troublesome. Again, not unexpected. Lovely pool. Would love to return in winter. Big fireplace. Would be an excellent place to write a book.

We stayed one night and really wish we were staying longer! The house is amazing, the grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed exploring the eating and drinking options in the village. Joe and Esther are friendly and provided great suggestions. We enjoyed our stay and if we come back to South Africa in the future this is on our list to return! Thank you for a lovely stay!

This was a pretty much perfect choice. Everything was easy to operate, and living in Mario's house was just very easy. Mario himself was friendly and welcoming, and it all worked out well.
