Jacks lodge was very clean, quiet and cosy. It’s also had everything you could need in there. Also Jack provided clear instructions on the location of the lodge as there are a few. It’s a good location to the Lake District and perfect for walkers and dog owners. My dog loved the lake and walk by the beach which was within 5 minutes of the lodge. And lake Windermere just an hour away. I would love to visit again sometime.

The house was exactly what we were looking for. It had everything we needed. it was extremely clean and had all the supplied you could need for a lovely weekend away.

Had a lovely 5 night stay here with my partner and it was so homely. Adele and Dave were super responsive and friendly and even went out their way to send us a speaker due to the previous one being broken! An air fryer in the kitchen was definitely a plus too! Master Bed was super comfortable and sheets were clean. There is a hairdryer in the master bedroom so you don’t have to bring your own! There is an Iron and ironing board too! Lots of board games and card games available. There is not much to do in the area (at no fault to the hosts!) but there is lots of beautiful scenery and Windermere is only 40 min drive away, definitely take a trip there if you get the chance!! Recommendations for the hosts would be to have a bigger frying pan and a couple of pasta bowls/ bigger bowls for the kitchen, other than that it was most definitely worth giving 5 stars. We had a wonderful stay. The accommodation looks just like the pictures. It was spotlessly clean. Sandra went above and beyond putting a few little surprises out as it was a birthday break (as well as treats for our pup), along with the day to day essentials e.g. milk in fridge on arrival. Sandra was a very friendly and responsive host; offering lots of recommendations for the area. The place was just wonderful, with amazing views of the lake, and super relaxing. It was a good base to drive out to the nearby sights e.g. Windermere, Kendal, Lakeland Car Museum etc. we had a wonderful stay and couldn't recommend Sandra's place more! Thank you once again :-)
