The Hobbit House apartment is located on the 1st floor of this home with a 2nd guest apartment in the basement. Very convenient to the General Wayne A Downing Airport in a safe quiet small town! *Please no smoking of any kind in our home or near the door *($250 fine)* Cozy & welcoming with lots of character including the original squeeky hardwood floors, and warm electric fireplace. It is furnished with comfortable furniture and interesting pieces. A perfect blend of beauty and practicality.

Our wonderful home is very unique in many ways. The original home was built in 1870 and is situated on Pine Hill Homestead, one of the original homesteads of Bloomington. From the 1960s it was renovated by then owner and architect, C.Eugene Asbury. Since the renovation, our home has remained his vision and allows you to take a step back in time for what life was like in the 50s and 60s with furniture and lighting from that timeless era. We are happy to host short and long term visitors.

The Caboose on Mayberry

Welcome to our mid 1900s caboose TP&W 527 and step back in time. Unwind and relax as you settle into your retreat. Enjoy the view from the cupalo as you browse through one of the books on board, or sit at your dinette and enjoy a board game. Sit out back in one of the adirondack chairs around your own private fire pit and enjoy s'mores, or just a peaceful evening. The caboose has been completely renovated and many modern convienences added. You'll love this unique and romantic escape!
