Violino azul, your home in the center of Cremona

Spend a few relaxing days in Cremona without sacrificing independence and comfort. Music-inspired details, cozy spaces, well-kept rooms and a subtle blue theme will accompany you during your stay. The central location makes the house the ideal starting point to visit the entire city. Violino azul is not visible from the main street because it is inside a period setting, typical of Cremona. The house is independent and on two levels. The lower floor is accessed from an independent entrance inside a small courtyard. In the living room there is a comfortable double sofa bed, a fireplace and a smart TV (Netflix subscription included). The kitchen and bathroom are adjacent to the living room. The kitchen is new and equipped with all appliances, a dishwasher and a washing machine, much appreciated if you stay longer. Going up a staircase you reach the upper floor where there is a large double bedroom and a small terrace. In the double bedroom, a crib can be added on request, included in the price. Guests have access to the entire house. I live and work near the house. I'll always be available for whatever you need during your stay. I'll personally hand you the keys.

Access via a short internal staircase with a large under-stair space ideal for storing bikes, suitcases, etc. Paid parking is available below the house and free parking is available within a 5-minute walk. Alessandro is a truly fantastic host: helpful, kind, thoughtful, and precise. He was immediately very understanding and always met the needs of my family members for whom I had booked the two-week stay. He took care to give us all the necessary information for check-in and responded politely to all our questions, he also went beyond expectations by offering support and assistance when my family had to extend their stay and find alternative accommodation. The apartment is new, the rooms correspond perfectly to the photos, it is a newly renovated two-room apartment and equipped with everything you need even for extended stays as in our case. The area is well-stocked with bars, a supermarket, a 10-minute walk from both the San Donato polyclinic and the public transport stops that connect it to the metro and station. Really congratulations and thank you for everything, from me and my family!

The beautiful Gatekeepers Lodge is classically Italian. We loved all the footpaths from the house and big walks and cycles in spectacular nearby hills. There is easy access to local cities by train - we went to Verona, Trento, Padova and Vicenza. Lake Garda is easily accessible, Salo and Bardolino were highlights. Every night at 7.30 the bells of the local church play a magical little tune. We listened while having a glass of wine in the vineyard whenever possible. We bought great vegetables in local markets - local restaurants are not very good for vegetarians. We stayed for 4 weeks and the time flew. Thank you very much Ludovico.

Lovely stay at Christina’s place with our 16 month old with a crib, high chair and children’s books. It’s at the top of a hill but there is a free shuttle bus down to Garda every half an hour which also takes you back up. The pool was nice but a bit too cold for when we were there in May - it would have been lovely in the summer months. There are restaurants nearby and a wine / drinks shop. A good base to explore the lake and Christina was very friendly.

Elisa was very kind and helped us in every way so that we could enjoy her beautiful home to the fullest. It's a lovely place surrounded by nature and beauty. The view from the terrace is magnificent and the friendly cat Armando will come to greet us while you enjoy the sunset with a good glass of wine. An experience to do and do again.
