Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Bellinzona

I would recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic place, peace and quiet and a beautiful view of the lake. The host is very communicative, helpful and welcoming. For these reasons I give the highest rating. The house, which is more than 100 years old, in a pedestrian area on the hillside, also has some inconveniences (uphill walk to the house, toilet on a different level from the bedrooms). For me this is a minor inconvenience, but it might bother someone else. The host sends a video showing the approach from the car park to the house.

This home is incredible. The view is stunning. But it is a decent hike up to the house. If you come by ferry it would take 30 mins from terminal to get to the home with many steps. Very challenging with a heavy suitcase. If you come by car it will take approximately 10-15 mins. Lots of stairs. Pack light if you’re able to. The home itself is over 3 levels by a spiral staircase. Bring light luggage if possible. The deck is so nice to spend time on. Lovely, memorable home with a friendly helpful host. Will never forget this beautiful place

Ivana is an amazing host; we arrived v late and she had baked us a cake and left milk and a couple of beers. She’s also left some bread; this was a relief as we arrived late Sunday and everywhere was closed. The cottage was v comfy, and the pillows/bed etc were perfect. The place was pristine, and it had a kettle/toaster. Marvellous place!

We had such a great time visiting here. It was a bit of a walk to the house but very doable. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Riccardo was extremely responsive during our visit too. Menaggio was the perfect area to stay at Lake Como. All of the charm and half of the crowds. We Hope to come back again someday.

We went as a couple and the house was simply spectacular, ideal for a romantic getaway. It exceeded all our expectations. Every corner is thought out in great detail and affection, and that shows from the first moment. The environment is wonderful, perfect for rest and to enjoy nature. We felt very comfortable throughout our stay. We highly recommend it!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were particularly impressed by the courtyard, which invites you to a cozy get-together on warm summer nights. The apartments are equipped with everything you could ask for and beautifully furnished. The communication was also very pleasant and you could always expect a quick response. Overall, a great recommendation and we would all come back immediately.

We were on vacation with two teenagers and enjoyed the time very much. Very spacious accommodation with a spectacular view. There was everything that made the family vacation easier. Excursions to the surrounding area are very possible because of a convenient location. Had a great time despite the rain. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Carla’s place so so cute and cozy and had the best views. We felt right at home. She had super helpful instruction on check-in and listed several restaurants she recommended. We really liked Taverna Malanotte in Bellano. Also, the spa was great and was a highlight of our trip!

Milena's apartment is the perfect place to explore the beautiful region of Ticino. The apartment is really homely and has everything you could need. The bed is large and so comfortable! We very much enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at this beautiful Airbnb! The location was easy to reach, and the property exceeded our expectations—looking even more stunning than the pictures. The home was neat, tidy, and well-maintained, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. One of the highlights was the serene garden, where we could hear the constant chirping of birds and the soothing sound of a small waterfall—pure bliss! The hosts were incredibly responsive and went above and beyond to help with any extra needs we had. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, delightful getaway!

The rental was beautiful with an amazing view. It took 10 minutes to get to town by car. Easy drive to Varenna and Bellano. The outdoor patio was great with a large area under cover.

We had a serene, peaceful & wonderful time staying at Silvia’s place. We felt totally at home and we couldn’t get over how amazing the views were! The home is lovely and cosy and we enjoyed having breakfasts outside in the crisp mornings & lighting the fire in the evenings as we cosied up. Everything was clean and decorated nicely. The kitchen was stocked with pots, pans and utensils which made it easy for us to cook our own meals whilst we were there. The pool area is stunning and we enjoyed playing on the tennis table too. We loved seeing Silvia’s animals around the grounds including extremely friendly cats, dogs & even some tortoises! Silvia was extremely responsive and helpful and she was there to personally greet us as we drove toward the property. She gave us great local recommendations and was a very polite and sweet lady. The area itself is breathtakingly beautiful, we felt like we had the place to ourselves as we wandered the streets of gravedona. Would recommend!

Amazing airbnb!! truly spectacular — the photos do not do it justice. Great location in Lierna. It was beautiful and peaceful without flocks of tourists. Walking distance to anything you need. You do have to pay attention to train schedules if you want to visit other towns, but the trains are easy to navigate. Excellent quiet location to come home to after a day out. Nice quiet beach areas with gelato shops. Would definitely stay here again!

Franziska's apartment was a stroke of luck for us and our Australian friends: Easy to reach by public transport, very quietly located in the middle of the village, nestled between the wooded mountain slopes and with wonderful views from the garden with flower meadow and vegetable beds or from the covered seating area. In the apartment, superbly furnished kitchen, great bathroom, pretty open apartment with plenty of space to linger and be together. Franziska informed us very vividly about the village, the natural diversity and the hikes on site. We were mostly outside in the garden under the plum tree and found it just great! The pizzas in the Osteria Avegno were very tasty and wonderfully crispy - pay there in cash (not with TWINT: it takes 7–10 hours until the host gets the confirmation...) Our easy hikes to Rovio, on to the waterfall and to Melano were varied and we liked them very much. Thank you very much Franziska, we will be happy to come back!

We loved being able to sit on the balcony enjoying the view of the lake. Mattia made us fell at home and quickly responded to any request we had. We would stay here again.

Great house with a gorgeous view. Hard to reach with the windling roads, car an absolute must. Great outdoor areas and good bedrooms and bathrooms.

Senior ladies group, loved everything about the place. Great location to walk to things. We enjoyed the sitting room, dining room, kitchen to cook in, gardens and the terrace .

We had an amazing time staying in this home. The place is very well equipped and the beds are very comfy. Feel right at home. The hosts provide excellent instructions and recommendations for local restaurants and bars which we enjoyed very much. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing longer weekend stay with a few friends at Andrea's place and I can only wholeheartedly recommend it!!! It has a really nice location with possibilities to explore numerous things around (by car). The kitchen was very well equipped and we were amazed at the number of available amenities. View from the balcony was simply breathtaking!!!

We rented Mattia's apartment because of the location, description/pictures and the reviews and everything was spot-on! Mattia is the most thoughtful and helpful host that we've had and we agree 100% with the previous reviews complimenting him. He is communicative, gracious and thoughtful. The apartment was true to pictures, with incredible views and was spacious to spread out. Very peaceful and quiet in this town. It is in a small town with limited walking amenities but it provides a great base of operations for visiting the Lake Como area (we had a rental car). The apartment had all major amenities and then some, with a few thoughtful additions to make the stay extra special!

Marcus and Simona are perfect AirBnB hosts. The place is gorgeous; even better than the photos, which do not do it justice. The house was immaculate, and the most comfortable bed and linens I’ve experienced in a rental. Marcus went out of his way to accommodate us with recommendations and assistance from months before we arrived and always made himself available for help. I brought my older parents with me, who had some issues with the walk to the house - it’s about 2-3 minutes downhill and through cobblestones and rough gravel to get to the house - but worth every minute once you are there. I recommend you pack as light as possible - we had 3 large suitcases and 2 huge duffel bags plus carryons because we are on a long trip, which made it extra tough to load in and out. I actually left 2 suitcases in the car and took what we needed. Aside from the challenges because of our bags and some limited mobility, their home easily ranks in my Top 3 of all places I’ve been. Will be back!
