The home was beautiful. Perfect spot next to the beach and well equipped for our little ones, especially when they just wanted to pop down to the beach. Our hosts were very responsive and gave very clear instructions. Bonus was the extra linen and sheets available. Was the perfect little holiday away!

If you want to relax in a warm home with amazing views, quiet and peaceful, this is the place. Literally a 2minute drive to Russell waterfront with the Duke of Marlborough and other restaurants to choose from. We loved it.

We had an awesome stay and would recommend this airbnb to anyone especially if you are looking for a peaceful setting where you can see and hear the sea, which are close by. We were so relaxed and enjoyed the area, just a lovely place to stay and unwind.

This is really a haven place for family. Ms Jessica was really a great and helpful host. The family really enjoyed our stay. Our dad, brother and cousins had a great time because the place was very near to their fishing spot. Dairy were just the corner walking distance which was really convenient. Overall this place is really homey, peaceful and stress free. Indeed you can say its a HOME. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay and approving our reservation plus allowing extra person which is our nephew. 🙏🏻

We can only echo the sentiment shared by others who have stayed here, the views are wonderful, the house is well equipped, it's clean, it's peaceful and relaxing (for everyone!). The house was nice and cozy when the weather wasn't too great and there were plenty of games/activities in and around the house to keep us all entertained (3 kids). One of the most beautiful place to stay near Whangarei, with a fabulous view. The house was cozy and felt like home. My family enjoyed it. Would loveee to come back for more. 🤗 Sarah is one of the finest host we have ever come across. I had the pleasure of staying at Wharau Lodge and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The lodge is absolutely beautiful—peaceful, well-maintained, and surrounded by nature. Jon, the owner, was a fantastic host: warm, professional, and welcoming. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect during my stay. This apartment was absolutely brilliant! We only meant to stay a few night but ended up staying more! Kelly was very helpful, and the apartment was perfectly placed in Russell. It had all of the amenities that we needed. We loved it! Thanks Kelly.

A lovely place! I had been experiencing some stress recently, so this was a great place to come to unwind. I thrashed it out on the nearby Mt Manaia- handy being in the area! Recommended. Plus shops etc not to far away by car. Comfy bed, clean, and just generally awesome. I should have read the place name properly/ used my common sense....couldn't go kayaking because of the tide (was low in the late afternoon and morning)- my fault for not figuring that out!! Just have to come back then 😉 Thanks guys, awesome place.

Great value for money in a good location. We didn't have the best weather so the Scrabble and Netflix came in handy. Lovely big clean bathroom and well equipped kitchen, it was just unfortunate the dishwasher was broken while we were there but it wasn't a biggie. Would recommend as a central location for day-tripping in the region.

Leanne was a wonderful host; excellent with communication and very helpful. The accomodation has a stunning view and is beautifully kept - comfortable, clean and just right for our stay (a two-nighter). The location was excellent; close to the city which has wonderful restaurants - of note The Quay. Highly recommended.

This was the most lovely accommodation! It was clean, well-appointed, and had the most beautiful view of the Bay. Wendy communicated well, and provided easy instructions for entry into the car park, and from there, into the apartment. Our two night stay was extremely quiet, which we expected, given it's not the high season, yet there was still enough going on about town that we never wanted for something to do! The location was absolutely ideal, as all businesses were within very easy, close-in walking distance. Our only wish is that we could have stayed longer, and we'll definitely look to return!

I really loved this unit. It felt very comfortable and had everything I needed. I liked the fact that it was old school style like my childhood. Felt relaxed as soon as I walked in and everything was very clean and tidy. The view was great and I was able to walk down the steps right in front of the shared lawn to the beach down below. I was also able to walk to a local restaurant just a short distance away across the road. Very practical. I’d happily stay here again. It’s nice they had some books etc there, but I kept myself so busy walking and taking photos and visiting the area that I didn’t even get to look at my own! My plan had been to read and relax there, but I really enjoyed traveling around discovering the area. I went to Ruakaka beach for a walk, then went over to the Bream Head region and its bays. I had a look around in Whangarei and went to the Hundertwasser art museum. Thanks for a great stay!🌸

Very friendly, very tidy well looked after property

The most serene beautiful location. Felt like a million miles from anywhere but best brekkie and coffee just steps from the door and a general store a couple of minutes away with everything you could need. Bed to die for, luxury linens and towels. Possibly the cleanest place EVER. thank you gavin, a perfect stay in a beautiful location.

For a winter break it really was perfect. Best spot ever. The best part....The people! Friendly, helpful. Kind. Every eatery was great. Op shop for fishing clothes too! Had great fishing with " Buckos" Dont miss it! Will return. Thankyou. BnM

It was a lovely relaxing spot to spend a week in a rural setting with sea views out to the Poor Knights islands. A large property, accessed off a private road so very secluded and peaceful. Handy location half way between Matapouri Bay and Tutukaka, although you do need a car to go anywhere. Kitchen was very well equipped including basic supplies. Access to an indoor swimming pool, ability to charge the EV, and use of the laundry was a bonus. The hosts were very welcoming on arrival and explained the facilities and beach access path. Special touches were a bottle of wine and locally made nut brittle on arrival, and acknowledgement of our wedding anniversary which was during our stay. Annette and Bianca were super helpful and responded promptly to any questions.

Linda is a very responsive and helpful host and the place is very comfortable and well-equipped. Lots of little extras made us feel right at home.

Fabulous hosts, lovely accommodation. We stayed for three nights, and all loved it including our puppy. If we didn't have to be back home for things, we would've extended our stay by a couple more nights. I'm sure we will be back again though. Thanks for the lovely stay

We had a very pleasant stay here in Paihia with stunning water views. It was peaceful to come home to after touring all day. Easy check-in and good communication from the host. Would stay again!
