Vacation rentals with a patio in Barren River Lake

We really loved the property and the home and party barn were perfect for our girls weekend. The themed party barn is so darn cute and we loved having a mini fridge and sink at the bar there. The home is decorated so cute and we loved the front porch for lounging and having lunch. All the beds were very comfy too. Only advice to new attendees is that arriving overnight/during night hours is the signage is hard to read. Its posted just as the host said it would be, but it is hard to see that its a picture of an Eagle, and the writing saying Eagles Next is hard to read. Drive slow. And yes, the area going into where the location is, that is a little uncomfortable with tight roads and clutter in the homeowners property, but once you arrive to the location for this listing, it is beautiful and you can not see any of the property that is concerning. Even though driving through is a little off putting, this location is beautiful, so don't let that deter you.

A beautiful cottage with plenty of room for family fun. Very close to Mammoth Cave. The landscaping and outdoor fireplace make this a great place to relax.

Cozy, clean cabin nestled in beautiful scenery with ponds, nearby lake for kayaking, hiking trail with cave, waterfall, Billy Goats gruff & trolls. Hosts were very responsive. Would be a great place for family reunions. Remote--DG Market about 20 minutes away. Large porches to relax & take in the views or firepit to gather around. Toured Crystal Onyx Cave with kitchy picture ops. Visited Bowling Green. Want to come back to track a corvette & visit museum. Booked 3 nights--should have planned a whole week!

We had a great time at this place - enjoying easy access to Mammoth Cave and so many other activities the area had to offer. The hot tub was fabulous, especially for our kiddos. Phillip was super responsive and always provided helpful information in advance. If we come back to the area, we'd definitely stay again.

Kim was very accommodating. She allowed my family with a toddler and several fur babies to stay a night while we were moving from Florida to Illinois. Her home was the perfect spot to take a break and was exactly as pictured. We would definitely recommend!

I cannot say enough about this place! My family of 4 came to stay for a few nights and we could not be more pleased with this lakefront cottage. The views alone make the stay worthwhile…. a cup of coffee (or wine) on that porch was my favorite thing to do. We had lots of fun at the caves and zip-lining with the kids, but it was so nice to come back to such a cozy place. The decor is beautiful and functional. We had everything we needed and would stay here again! Our host was also amazing. She proactively shared details ahead of time so we knew just what to bring and what to expect. Check-in was a breeze. We even had a strong storm come through and knock out the power for an hour or two, but our host was in contact with us and set clear expectations of what to expect. If you’re headed to Mammoth Cave or just want a beautiful, relaxing lakefront cottage to take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this place is perfection!

It’s a fantastic place my only problem is that there A LOT of ticks all over the place. I understand that it’s in the middle of nature but I think the place needs pest control because it can be dangerous.

To say that the cottages were amazing is just not enough. The surroundings, the stay, the furnishings were simply perfect for my families stay for my daughters wedding weekend. We were all able to be close as the cottages are just a hundred yards or so from the main house. This enabled us to enjoy so much together. I would highly recommend staying at both places if you have a large family and want a great get a way. I cannot say enough about the host and their generosity. They made the weekend magical.

The property was very clean and quiet. It was a wonderful location for us for our trips into Nashville and a day trip to Mammoth Cave National Park. The host was very responsive and respectful. We would stay again!
