Vacation rentals with lake access in Ards and North Down

We enjoyed staying at Febbies so much. We were having Storm Darragh, but we hardly noticed, as we were tucked up warm and cozy. Just a short drive from Hillsborough. Febbie is a sweetheart. My dog, Mabel enjoyed herself too. The 3 of us were happy as Larry, re-charging our batteries, watching tv. We had a comfortable bed, heat, perfect shower room & everything we needed in the kitchen. Very easy to find & clear instructions. Thank you Febbie loads of love, D, H & Mabel ❤🙏☝️❤

A wonderful family stay in the characteristic Blundell House - perfect for making special memories! We all slept really well in the very comfortable beds & loved having our individual bathrooms. The living areas are fantastic - could lie reading for hours on the chaise lounge in the impressive lounge on the ground floor. And would like to sit in the wee conservatory off it in better weather. The spacious kitchen/dining/living space on the lower ground level is great for everyone gathering together. The house has everything you could possibly need, including laundry room, downstairs toilet & playroom. And outside dining & loungers for the better weather. Location really great too. Our granddaughter wants to stay here every weekend! I suspect we will be staying here again!!!

One of the best stays we’ve had on Airbnb! Gabrielle was really flexible for our check-in. She let us check in last midnight, and was even up waiting for us, offering us the tour of the house. The electric blanket had already been heated up (which was a blessing after our cold November night!) and there was water, juice and cookies on our bed table. We felt at home right away. The place itself is quiet, and a convenient drive from Belfast. We also got to know Gabrielle during our short stay. It felt like meeting with a friend. She gave us traveling tips, played guitar and sang us Irish songs by the fireplace, offered us Guinness and brought us to the riverside (on her property). We swapped stories, and had a very great connection. It is obvious Gabrielle is enthusiastic about hosting, and that made our stay very unique. She also has a big dog, Finn, who’s an absolute darling. It was a very special stay, and we will for sure stay again when we come back to Ireland!

I'm not sure what else I can say that every other review hasn't written. This cottage is a little oasis from the outside world. It lovely yo sit on the couch with the fire going and relaxing in front of the big telly. The kitchen has everything you would need to cook for yourself plus a washing and dishwasher. The bed was comfy, linen lush and as quiet and dark at night. The hosts were so lovely, flexible with check-in, generous with yummies and kind.

The weather was terrible which didn’t matter one bit because the hot tub, games room and other games kept us all amused. It didn’t stop us getting out. We loved relaxing and spending time as a family, eating around the lovely table and playing air hockey. We visited a few child friendly places in the area and my son was very happy. He loved watching the farm animals outside from his bedroom.

Lily and Shibu are brilliant hosts! They both were very helpful throughout my stay, providing valuable advice and instructions. The entire accommodation is very comfortable and quiet, situated in a lovely neighborhood close to the Waterworks Lakes. I highly recommend staying with Lily & Shibu if you find yourself in Belfast! I would definitely come back.

We had a lovely time in Ann's house in Castlewellan for mid term break (4 adults and 4 teenagers). The house is lovely and we felt right at home as it was a nice space to relax and roomy. The Forest Park is just outside the back door so we had some lovely walks in the park and had fun doing the peace maze - followed by a good soak in the outdoor hot tub! Also we did some hiking in the Morne's which are also on your doorstep. There are some nice coffee shops and pubs in the town which we enjoyed. All in all a wonderful break!

We had a lovely 5-night stay at Rob And Bex’s place. It had everything you need, was very comfortable, spacious, and made you feel like you were coming home when you returned. It's also in a perfect, central location. As hosts, they were quick to respond, and were very kind to accommodate an earlier check-in time for us, as well. We hope to come back in the future.

Liam's place was pretty close to town centre and was flexible with our check in times. Very responsive and we felt so comfortable being there :)

More than enough space for the 3 of us. Very cosy and clean. I would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful time at the Dunskey Estate. Both the house and surroundings were absolutely gorgeous. There’s so much to explore on the estate grounds. Lovely walks, a picturesque lake, waterfalls and beautiful and quite beach. Anne is a great host. She was very prompt with communication and gave us some excellent recommendations to explore the area. Would love to be back here sometime in future!

Riverside cottage was so perfect in every way from the warm welcome from Alan to the lovely treats. The cottage is fab, it’s beautifully decorated, the hot tub is a great touch, we had a memorable stay and will definitely return again soon 🤩

This was one of the best stays of my very well traveled life, and the team at Dunskey went above and beyond in their communication and welcoming spirit! from the detailed and numerous emails, to the arrival hamper, and accomodations for requests, everything exceeded expectations. And obviously the location, the estate lands, and the incredible hiking trails and activities (archery!) made it beyond special. thank you so much for sharing your home with us 💕

We absolutely loved our stay at Dunskey Estate and our lodge - Fawn's Velvet. beautifully maintained grounds, gorgeous private garden with a tub. our dogs loved all the walks and the running around their very own securely fenced space. we loved the welcome items (the bread was amazing!!) and the pre-ordered food we found in our freezer was delicious. we had a great sleep in the very comfortable bed and pillows and the walk in showers in both bathrooms were super spacious and clean. despite how hard it was for us to get there (12 hours drive) we would book again. we would likely try another lodge for the fun of it as it seems every one is decorated differently. we cannot wait to come back!!

Bear Cottage is a lovely cosy cottage with beautiful views all around, well equipped with a large enclosed garden. I had a very relaxing stay with my family and two dogs. Ruth and Monica were very responsive and helpful and our stay was made extra special with daily visits from Bailey, a super friendly golden retriever. My dogs and brother had a great time playing with her. Welcome basket on arrival with fruit, wheaten bread and fresh eggs was much appreciated. We will definitely be back.

Judith and Michael were great hosts and very knowledgeable about the area. The property is huge and very homely, we especially loved the kitchen. The whole place is immaculate and the beds exceptionally comfortable. Thank you, we had a lovely stay.
