Bungalow vacation rentals in Ards and North Down

We spent a long time choosing a house to live in and chose this one - and it was the right and most convenient decision! Despite minor flaws (such as mold in the corners due to high humidity and the close location of the sea, unsharpened knives...) we had a simply heavenly vacation! For us, the most important factors in choosing a place to stay were warmth and quiet, as well as separate accommodation from the owners - and we got all of this in full! Upon arrival and all the following days, the house was very warm and cozy. It was also very quiet at night, despite the close location of the road - and we all slept like babies. And the view from the window was simply fabulous - the Irish Sea is simply amazing both during the day and at night, both during calm and during a storm. We are very grateful to the owners for a nice house and attitude towards guests!! We did not want to leave and felt at home!! We are looking forward to the next meeting!! We want to come only to this cozy house!

We had a relaxing break away and would definitely recommend. No noise can be heard from the house, and when you open the doors or windows, all you hear is the ocean. The beach is on your doorstep. You can walk along the coastline to Ballywalter when the tide is out- approx 2.5km. The house has a relaxing feel, and beautifully furnished with all amenities needed; very cosy and comfortable.

The location is perfect, just a short walk from the beach. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was very relaxing. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

Wonderful hospitality. If you are debating this or a hotel, take this place! It's much more fun with gorgeous ocean views. Our kids loved climbing the sea rocks. Kudos to our caring and responsive host.

The stay at Trevor's house was very pleasant. The house lived up to the description in every way and Trevor was a very nice host.

Well we were blown away when we arrived, this place is amazing!! From little extra touches to the incredible nautical theme to the most comfortable bed we've ever slept him, Carol really has thought of everything. The washer dryer was particularly handy as it meant we could travel light. We barely spent any time in Belfast really, it's worth going away just to see Whiteabbey really. I'd highly recommend a day sailing with Elwyn up the road in Carrickfergus and an indulgent evening at the Sister. Public transport links are really good, we don't drive and that really didn't matter. You won't find a view like that anywhere else. Book it now!

Lovely bungalow, clean and tidy. Just what we were looking for when working away for the week! Will definitely look to stay again when working in the area.

The house was absolutely beautiful and looked even better in real life. The rooms were very comfortable and tastefully decorated. It was so nice to see a bit of colour, instead of boring hotel standard white. The garden was perfect for the dog and beautifully planted. Could not have asked for a better location, everything within walking distance - restaurants, shops, bars, promenade and beach. looking forward to returning in the summer.

We booked a 2 night stay at Ellen's place for attending a wedding. Ellen was very communicative and helpfully provided a travel cot and high chair for our toddler. We were met when we arrived by Maureen who was very friendly and made check in easy, and had also provided extra bread/milk/cereal/ham/biscuits which we weren't expecting. We enjoyed our stay, very comfortable and clean, a home from home! Would book again. Thankyou Ellen and Maureen!

very welcoming hosts and very spacious, comfortable and homely. everything was very clean. the location of the house was near everything and garden was lovely. Thoroughly happy with our stay.

Better than Described. As a party of 3 generations we enjoyed the Granary very much. Spotlessly clean,bright, spacious, great shower. A great base to explore Newry, Kilkeel, Dundalk and Carlingford. Gardens , swings etc lovely and the river!! Gorgeous for a paddle .Met the goats too and the children loved them. This would be a great place to go if having a family reunion or get together as the set up lends itself to both community or privacy . Highly recommend. The wifi was a bit hit and miss but we found this in other areas also .Great attention to looking after the environment here also. A wedding had occured before we arrived as we saw some of the congratulatory comments on a blackboard . Great idea!!! Thanks from Dolores from Mayo.

Myself and my family had a fantastic few days at the Burrow. We were in the area for a wedding at The Rabbit hotel and the Burrow is perfectly placed - just a 2 minute drive away! The Burrow is lovely and spacious and the rooms well equipped and comfortable. The hosts are so friendly and helpful and quick to respond to messages. Highly recommend, thank you! ☺️

We had a lovely few days staying at Rula's Retreat. There are two lovely bedrooms and a very spacious living area. It was easy to get to Belfast, North Antrim, Loch Erne and the international airport. We would definitely stay again.
