Perfect spot for a night's stay. I had 3 family members come in from out of town for a graduation. They stayed here and were very comfortable! Cute place, nicely decorated and cared for. Clean furniture and linens.

Glamping the Flint Hills, KS

This was a great place to camp if you are looking for something quiet and beautiful. Steve communicated well and was friendly and was waiting for me when I arrived. The Glamping site is even better than the pictures. A bundle of wood is $10 but two bundles was enough for two nights of fires and two fires in the morning to cook on. The property is very peaceful and you can walk up on the hill and watch the sunset. There are mown paths you can walk around on and see the wild flowers and plants. It is only 20 minutes from Milford lake. Definitely coming back next time I need to get away!

Alisha was very nice. She was super helpful. She answered several questions very cheerfully. The home was very cozy. Sitting outside was very relaxing. It was much better than sitting in a hotel room, that’s for sure. I would enthusiastically recommend people to stay here.

1930's Bungalow on the Flint Hills

Garrett's description of his place is accurate. It is like visiting your grandmother's home in the country. Rustic would be a reasonable description. The crucial items are all there. Good water pressure. Hot water. Multiple window A/C units and ceiling fans. The WiFi was robust. We didn't use the TV. The only real drawback is that Alta Vista is a VERY small town with little to offer. It has one grocery store, which is really a convenience store, rather than a grocery store. And seemingly the only retail establishment in town. A real grocery store is down in Council Grove. We stayed there because my son rode in a bicycle race over the gravel roads in the area, and much of the tough part of the course was in this area, making it a great location for us. There is an active railroad track just a block away, but you just hear the trains rumble past, and fortunately they don't blast their whistle. Garrett was very accomodating. For two guys, it worked perfectly.

Regenerated 1876 Stone Schoolhouse Outside MHK!

I was on a roadtrip across country and this space was the perfect reprieve from the 70. A calm country road to get on and off the route, but not much added time. The animals were a lovely added character to the spot, and the area felt safe. We went on long walk and run before getting back on the road. This space also has a covered area to park and coffee which was perfect for our needs.
