House vacation rentals in Zanzibar Archipelago

Fukuchani Inn is wonderful - the staff is pleasant, kind, and very willing to help with whatever you might need. Everyone was friendly and we had a wonderful stay. The Inn is right near the ocean, a quick little walk to a beautiful (albeit rocky) beach, and it's very close (about 15 mins) from Nungwi beach. And the pool is lovely! We stayed in the 2-bedroom Villa and it was perfect for my family, plenty of space and very clean. And of course I have to mention Daisy, the basset hound!! Such a friendly and good girl :) We would love to come back one day - overall, great stay :) Friendly reminder to travelers, Tanzania and Zanzibar often have power outages, and this includes A/C - but they only lasted a few mins each time, and the staff aims to provide as comfortable a stay as possible.

We had a wonderful stay and had lots of fun with a group of friends. The host was incredibly friendly, always available, and very supportive whenever we needed anything. The caretaker was also attentive, even late at night when we required assistance. The residence was clean and private. Although we visited during the rainy season and didn’t use the pool much, it was well-maintained—cleaned and treated appropriately before check-in and after check-out. The location is easily accessible from the main highway. I can't wait to come back to Dar es Salaam—this will definitely be my go-to place again. There's ample parking space, including covered spots, and the security is excellent.

Our stay at this beautiful villa exceeded all expectations! The pristine, large pool and stunning property were truly impressive, but what really made our experience unforgettable was Barbara, the amazing host. She went above and beyond, even arranging our airport pick-up and drop-off, making everything so easy. Her warmth and hospitality made us feel right at home. Wow I don’t even know where to start! This was truly one of the best Airbnbs I’ve stayed in Zanzibar. As an Airbnb property this one completely exceeded my expectations. It offers amazing value for money.I had such a peaceful time watching the sunset and listening to the sound of the waves. As for the kids words can’t even describe it they had the time of their lives, especially enjoying the infinity pool. I only wish we had booked a longer stay, but unfortunately, it was time to head home. I will definitely be coming back to this home away from home. Having visited Zanzibar several times, I can confidently say that it’s hard to find a place like this near town with full AC, reliable WiFi, fully equipped kitchen. We even made lovely breakfasts for the kids. Bonus: it’s just 5 mins from the airport and only 15 mins to Stone Town. Truly worth every penny.And as for Mohammed what a kind gentleman. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. I recommend this

Our stay in Uroa was wonderful. Emanuele put us in touch with his property manager who helped us with everything from airport transfers, setting up tours and even getting some medicine when some of our family came down with the flu. Uroa is a little bit remote in terms of amenities but that is what we were looking for. There are a few local restaurants within walking distance on the beach but not much more than that. We enjoyed walking the beach every day, swimming and wading out to the sand bar at low tide. There are also people/companies on the beach if you want to setup snorkeling tours or watersports. The caretaker and the housekeeper do a wonderful job keeping up the property and the housekeeper even made a few meals for us with the groceries we bought in Stonetown! The house was beautiful and in good repair. Beds were good and the pool was great to relax in. Overall, it was a very relaxing stay, just what we needed at the end of our trip to Tanzania!

AL'S house looks very new and modern, very comfortable stay with comfortable beds. Nice bed linen and towels provided. 1 huge TV and 1 even bigger projector screen provided good entertainment. Wifi was fast. AJ was great with communication and sent us a pin location so we found the house easily. The housekeeper, who met us and let us in, was clear with instructions and quick to see to our needs. Bathrooms need some maintenance as the top floor shower had a bad leak and downstairs shower head was not attached to the wall. Thank you for a great stay!

We were a little skeptical due to the latest rather bad review. We then booked anyway, as we were able to check in at very short notice and the price was simply great. What luck: it was definitely the most spacious and comfortable accommodation we had on our tour of Zanzibar👍👍👍 Especially the large living/dining room was pleasantly cool despite the heat and we spent a cozy game night there in heavy rain. This room is the only one in the house that is equipped only with metal mosquito repellent and without window panes. So there is always a pleasant breeze through the many windows. Thank you for the lovely stay!

Eileen's place is very spacious and in a good accessible location. We could buy food easily and visited the beaches nearby. Navo is very friendly and we asked her to cook for three nights, which she did beautifully. Thanks Eileen, we had a lot of fun.

Fantastic place, I would highly recommended. The host is warm, responsive and extremely helpful. A lovely way to experience Dar. The house is clean and well maintained & the host was available for a walk through. I enjoyed my stay.

It was a lovely place to spend a few relaxing days. The main activity is enjoying the beach and the guru guru grounds :) Edy was very friendly and helpful. We recommend eating at Chez Hassan!

We had a lovely stay at Miriam’s house, a well equipped kitchen and a grill, very quiet and peaceful area! Tausi helped us arrange seafood, and cleaning the house when needed. It has a a nice beach strip where you can also see some local fishermen fishing. We enjoyed our time there.

for Zanzibar, this accommodation is luxury. equipped with everything you need. there is always warm water, very good water pressure, air conditioning. was very private yet you could walk anywhere. the people there are very helpful and try to fulfill every wish. was great

The house is large and tastefully furnished and offers enough space to feel comfortable. We enjoyed a lot the huge terrace and big garden. Communication with Judica was nice and helpful. Many thanks to Judica for helping us on short notice to arrange sleeping accomodations for more people than originally announced. The ocean with beautiful beaches is very close and the city center can be reached in roughly 30 - 40 mins.

We loved loved loved our stay at Wakushi house. Rebecca and Amani were so helpful and sweet people to be around and their place is just amazing. It is simply beautiful and very airy which is important on such a hot island. But it was the little details that stood out- fresh flowers, self-colored towels and handmade soap (which you can also purchase as a souvenir). Rebecca was also super helpful to arrange some trips and even took me to her yoga class. This might have been my best Airbnb-find ever!

Excellent. A beautiful, airy and spacious, tastefully and simply furnished home that is 100 metres or so from the gently-rolling ocean. The staff are also superb, hardworking, gentle and unassuming. We would love to go back sometime. Thank you Madeline.

We stayed at Fumba town for 5 days and the place was brilliant. Thanks to our lovely host and area the place was worth it. Bathroom and rooms looked better than in the picture.

A home away from home indeed!Neema organised for us to be picked from the bus station and made sure we lacked nothing whilst there, thank you to the whole team Castro ( who helped us moving around) and Joseph ( who was always ready to help when we needed him). Zoe was an amazing host and really helpful with providing recommendations on where to eat and what to see on the island. Zoe was also very quick with her responses which made our stay at Zanzibar stress free. The property was spacious, with the showers having good water pressure and the beds being covered in mosquito nets. We had rented a car and we were able to park the car safely inside the gate. Overall we would definitely recommend Zoe as a host and her property as a great place to stay!

For us Marias place was an oasis of tranquility, peace and beauty... the colorful, rich and lovingly cared garden, a very comfortable pool, conscitious house cleaning, an incredible rooftop with nice breeze and the possibility to take a shower upstairs were amazing.
