Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Zanzibar Archipelago

We stayed at Eta's Airbnb last year and came back again because we liked it so much!!! The A/C in the bedrooms is great, I love the location, the decor and little extras are thoughtful and we love that the suite is on the main floor. The only downside this year was, the neighbours upstairs were louder than last year with a screaming toddler who was often up by 5:00 am. The master bedroom had windows facing the courtyard and it was very loud. I would still stay at this suite again though!!! Thanks Romain and Eta... see you next year!!!

Stayed for 8 days with my family. The apartment was spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen had all the essentials and we had a fantastic time. The pool was great too! Very easy to walk to the beach and lots of restaurants to choose from. Would highly recommended this apartment! Thank you Juli for having us :)

We really enjoyed our stay at Ingrid's place. The ability to walk out directly to the beach was incredible - as well as the night bed! It was very clean and the flexible check-in worked out very well for us as we were running a little late. Overall, great stay and well worth it.

Lovely private villa in tranquil and beautiful Jambiani, just by the beach. Many low-key restaurants nearby, but also a fantastic private chef and team in the villa, we loved their cooking and friendly attitude. The host Liza and manager Khatid are very friendly and helpful. We hope to return one day.

Our family of 5 loved our 7-night stay for Christmas. The home was clean and spacious and perfectly located for us: 3 minute walk to the beach and 5 minute walk to Paje village for groceries or other things. A peaceful spot and a great home. Joseph was on hand to help with everything and he was amazing! He would cook and shop for us (optional, and it was wonderful!), organize free laundry service, and organize taxis. He was fantastic!!! So friendly and professional and thoughtful. We did some day-trips that are highly recommended: Jozani Forest, Saalam Cave, Mtende Beach, and Safari Blue. Joseph arranged everything at very fair prices. He also helped us find some last-minute Christmas presents for our kids - his local advice and recommendations were appreciated. The beach here was shallow and great at high tide for swimming, but nice to explore at low tide too. There are Maasai craft stalls & shoe shops to browse, and beach activities. We LOVED our stay!! We hope to return!

This home is absolutely remarkable. The decor is so beautiful and calm l. The scenery is so peaceful. Ali the house manager was very helpful but Ester was the star of the show. She was so nice and helpful, always greeting you with a warm welcome. She stands out to me more because I had the most interaction with her. The chef made great meals as well. The entire staff was amazing during our stay. I was pleasantly surprised to know that they offered laundry service as well, so no traveling back home with dirty clothes. Such a great touch. I would recommend this home and will be back again. There are 4 homes on the property and they all are just as gorgeous with amazing views.

We felt very welcome, the managers were always available, there were many tips and it was always quickly helped and small irrelevant problems immediately resolved and resolved. The food from the restaurant was always fresh and delicious as well as handsome. The unit is well maintained and beautiful. The surroundings are very quiet away from great tourism, some of the beaches are empty and you can enjoy the atmosphere superbly. We have loved the restaurant staff very much. I had a pleasant time staying at Judith's place, located in Fumba Town. It was neat and the environment was Serene. Fumba Town, some 20mins drive away from Stone Town, is the place to be if you love a peaceful, calm neighborhood with a swimming pool and a sea-facing bar. The balcony view is breathtaking. Generally, it's good value for money. Did I forget to mention that Judith communicates well?

Great apartment to share with a friend! 2 separate bedrooms - 1 with AC and 1 with a big fan above the bed - and an amazing pool and lounge area. Be prepared to deal with power outage but thats something that happens everywhere. Host was very happy to point us in the right direction for anything we needed

This place is amazing! The grounds are beautiful (I found myself often sitting outside taking in the beauty of the space) , the rooms are spacious and the location is prime! The staff is extremely helpful and nice. The internet is good and the bathroom is spacious as well. The location is a short distance from places to eat and access to the beach (~20 min walk or 5 min via motorbike). Also the shared kitchen is great if you’re wanting to cook, very well supplied and spacious. If you’re looking for a solid and peaceful place to stay, this is the place.

My friends and I recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful beach house on Airbnb. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the caretaker, who showed us around the property and ensured we had everything we needed. Zaiba our host, was very responsive and gave us good recommendations, right from before the trip. Sufiyan, the co-host always passed by to ensure all was well. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our stay, making us feel right at home. The house itself was stunning, with modern decor and plenty of space for our group to relax and unwind. One of the highlights of the property was its proximity to the beach, offering breathtaking views and a tranquil atmosphere. We enjoyed time at the property and appreciate the hosts' efforts to provide a comfortable and relaxing environment We look forward to staying here again.

Very nice place in a prime location right at the beach. Amenities and cleanliness are very good. The terrace, which is just a jump from the Indian Ocean at high tide, is unique. We have not seen any other accommodation in Jambiani that provides such private access to the sea. At low tide, you can still lie down in the existing hot tub😎 There was a power outage twice in the ten days we were on site, but this was promptly picked up by a generator set. Hakuna matata! What made our stay that bit special was Barau, the local manager. He lives in the neighborhood, is always available and a very helpful, friendly and accommodating person. He cares very well for his guests and reliably helps to organize all kinds of tours, whether on land or water. In addition, Barau and his wife Zuhura offer very good authentic food at absolutely affordable prices. So definitely try it!

We had a wonderful stay at Othman's home. It was the perfect peaceful retreat after our safari. It is very close to the beach and has its own beautiful garden. Othman is a very welcoming host and has many recommendations for both the local area and other parts of Zanzibar.

This was the perfect weekend stay for our group! The location is hard to beat — beachfront and with direct beach access. Although a little far from Stone Town and the airport, we loved that this area was so quiet and relaxed. The host was incredibly communicative as well and helped arrange for airport pickup and dropoff, which made our travel entirely seamless. Lastly, we also took advantage of the chef and meal package, and the food was fresh, home cooked, and incredibly tasty. A great value spot for a lovely stay!

A very well-equipped villa, especially if you keep your eyes open and see the conditions in which the local people live in their immediate surroundings. The locals are friendly and open, only language can be a barrier to making friends. We spent these few days just lazing around, we only went to the beach to go to the beach, to search in the sea, to play football in the sand. There is not a huge selection of restaurants and they are a bit more expensive than the other village we visited, Jambiani. The apartment and the kitchen are well equipped, you can also spend time in the garden, everything is added. We experienced something that we rarely get used to during our travels: the TV was not just a decoration on the wall, it worked, with lots of channels. Adam and Rahel are our two hosts. We found that Adam was there and easily available for us, he uses his phone, he doesn't only respond through the airbnb interface. He was at our disposal regarding power outages and internet problems
