beautiful place. So calm and tranquil, we loved all the greenery around and feeling like we were up in the trees! Jo is a lovely and very friendly host. We loved sitting out on the balcony listening to the sheep and lambs.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was spotlessly clean, well - equipped and in a fantastic location.

we had a wonderful stay at Mary's Airbnb. the decor was stunning with gorgeous art work, furniture and colour, and the beds and furniture so comfortable. the location is ideal, so peaceful and quiet with many walks but ideally located to pop into Ripon or go to Fountain's abbey. I could have moved in to this beautiful home.

We loved our stay in David’s Thump Cottage. Everything was clean, comfortable and peaceful. We spent a day with David touring the Yorkshire countryside and some beautiful gardens, eventually making our way to a lovely, remote, historical pub. We could not have imagined the beautiful day and friendship we experienced. The town (and all the towns) and area is beyond beautiful. We cooked a few meals in the modern kitchen for breakfast and evening meals (we prefer to be home by dark) or ate leftovers from the huge portions served at restaurants and pubs. (Our afternoons were when we visited the restaurants and pubs.) We plan to return to see David and continue our journey north to Scotland someday ♥️ In other words we highly recommend Thump Cottage 😊 Thank you again, David, for sharing your amazing cottage with us. 🏡
