A great, peaceful getaway, convenient to Whangarei and really manageable travel time from Auckland. Great spot for families, especially with local tramping spots and kayaks included with the property. The covered porch is a real highlight, we spent hours just reading, enjoying a drink and fully unwinding. Sally and Kevin are probably the most responsive, proactive and friendly hosts we’ve encountered in a long time. Super happy with the communication and our holiday as a whole. Thanks!

We had a really nice stay at the green bach. The view over the water is exceptional, and the Whangārei Heads area is a wonderful place to stay. The path down to the water is shared by the green bach, the adjoining white bach, and the main house which sits above. It’s steep but was not a problem for us. Nice to meet the hosts and other guests, all very friendly people! Would stay again

We enjoyed our 6 nights at The Shores! Lil is the sweetest host who makes you feel right at home. She had great recommendations! We loved the quick walk to the beach and the views surrounding. The apt is well equipped and very clean! We would highly recommended.
