Tiny house vacation rentals in Western Cape

Our stay with Lisa & Ivan was very memorable! We loved the cosy tiny house, which had everything one needs for a great stay. Easy walkable access to the beach and the few restaurants in Scarborough was a big plus. The surroundings are breathtaking! Lisa was very helpful with questions we had. We are very glad we found this little place.

A beautifully peaceful spot to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our walks on the farm, and stargazing from the hot tub. The accommodation was clean and cozy. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the bathroom was neat with a large shower.

This place is a little slice of heaven and worth every detour :) If you're wondering (like we were) whether it's worth veering off the Garden Route to stay here, this is your sign that it absolutely is. Everything about this place is special. The food, the attention to detail in the cabin, the surrounding nature is all so thoughtfully done. What really struck us was how inspiring and intentional the whole setup is. Everything is farm-to-table and self-sustaining, not run for profit but for the joy and well-being of the family who lives here and the guests who visit. The animals were clearly happy and healthy! Reuben is an incredible chef, he whipped up the best sandwiches and salad we've ever had. The cheese was also out of this world. Adriaan, Reuben’s dad, is just as lovely, full of stories about his community and how things work in their little town. We regret not staying 2 nights - skip staying in Tsitsikamma and just do day trips to the national park - trust me :)

Very well equipped modern house, beautiful views and close enough to the beach to walk. We will visit again in the future!

Lovely cabin with beautiful mountain views. We had a relaxing weekend at Bridget and Maggie's place, a beautifullly designed private wooden cabin that looks out on to the mountains. We particularly enjoyed sitting at the firepit and looking up at the stars, the wood fired pizza oven, dipping in the natural pool and taking outdoor showers! The cabin is comfortable and cozy with everything you need and the location is beautiful. We were grateful to Bridget for her flexibility when we had to change our dates. Thanks for a lovely stay!

We had such a wonderful time, really felt like we were in a forest with all the different birds chirping from sunrise to sunset with the Knysna Lourie being my favourite. The place was easy to find and easy to get into. It was also very clean and had everything we needed. Will definitely stay there again!

The cottage exceeded our expectations. It is neat, cozy, comfortable and allows you feel right at home. What an amazing experience! Friendly and accommodating host. We will definitely come back again. It is so private and peaceful. The property is well kept and there is a hiking trail starting from the garden. Just beautiful!

My partner and I had a fabulous stay at the Nest last week. The place has everything you need for a couple’s retreat and is super cute, has great attention to detail in terms of comforts to ensure a pleasant and relaxed stay including a nice hot tub and shower on the terrace. Wendy was a super responsive and kind host and had blankets arranged as requested to manage the chilly weather. Wendy also gave us some really nice complimentary beers and wine in the fridge which was unexpected but greatly appreciated. Sadly we had to cut our visit short due to bad weather, but we hope to be back in the near future to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Pringle and Betty’s Bay. Prior to booking this place we were looking for something special in this area and we have to say this surpassed our expectations. Don’t hesitate to book! Thanks Wendy 🙏🏽

Wildside cabin was such a treat - absolutely gorgeous views, private, yet close enough to Plett for shops and restaurants. We loved it!

I absolutely loved my time at this garden cottage. It was everything I needed for the Easter break and my dog had such a fun time sniffing about all the flowers. It had everything I needed inside it as well.

A stylish, comfortable cottage located a stone's throw from the beach. Loved the private encloses backyard, complete with hot tub, and a pizza oven that works like a charm.

What can I say but very positive words? The location was ideal but the best of this place in Cape Town is by far Pelle and Pernilla themselves. They are very attentive, welcoming and excellent knowledge of things to do. They gave us a very warm welcome and excellent recommendations that made our experience of Cape Town even much better! Will definitely look forward to returning!

Visited the place for a weekend break and we got a lot more than expected. This little gem offers peaceful surroundings, interesting walks, and we’ve never seen a place accommodate our pets so well. It was an amazing stay and we’ll be back for another break soon.

I had the pleasure of staying for 6 weeks and had a special time at The Not So Tiny House because of the space it provided me, it’s beautiful surroundings and the hospitality provided by Tristan and Alison. As a natural eco pool, the water isn’t your usual bright blue, but you’ll step out feeling refreshed with no chlorine dryness – we loved that. We also really appreciated the presence of the friendly, well-behaved dogs who greeted us warmly but never entered the unit. As a South African–European couple, this spot is officially on our regular weekend escape list. Whether you’re after a digital detox or just some proper peace and quiet, this is a top choice.
