Nature eco lodge vacation rentals in Western Cape

The place was very easy to find and offers a nice apartment as well as a feel-good oasis to unwind. The program should be planned in advance - with short travel times everything can be reached quickly. But also to just wind down, the accommodation is a perfect place. I recommend this accommodation to anyone who wants to have their peace and escape the stress of everyday life. This place offers not only couples, but also a family, the perfect privacy.

We stayed over as a half wat stop between Port Alfred and Cape Town as we were traveling with our 3 month old baby. Communication with Tracey was easy, she was very quick to respond when we had any questions. The room was clean and as pictured in the photos with a very comfortable bed. There is a shared kitchen/living area between the three rooms with all the basics. There was a bit of noise coming from the road, but we had the windows open as it was incredibly hot during our stay. The room has a small fridge with snacks and drinks with and honesty jar, as well as a coffee station.

14 of us stayed at the Green Palm Cottage, and we had a lovely time. There was ample space for us, we enjoyed the common areas, and we were able to have a nice barbeque. Also, the close walk to the beach was very convenient. Would definitely stay again

What a gorgeous spot Andy has here. The valley in which his facility is located is spectacular and his place really makes it easy to relax and enjoy the view.

It can be a bit difficult finding the lodge, but the view was amazing from the lodge, we saw the sunset from the balcony. They have a really cute and friendly dog, Max, who followed us on our evening stroll around the farm. It was a pleasant stay and great experience!

The stay at Hartenbos Private Game Lodge was an extraordinary experience. From the tent we could see different animals. On a booked trip through the reserve, we saw them even closer and got interesting information. The hosts were friendly and the rooms very clean. Good amenities, although we were able to use little of it during our short one night stay.

Wonderful stay and excellent experience. A hidden gem on our doorstep. Highly recommended.

My friends and I had such a beautiful time here. Can’t beat a cold plunge in the river followed by a hot tub under the stars! Lucky, the property manager, is super kind and helpful, and Ma’ayan and Justin are equally so. Would highly recommend visiting McBains for a quiet weekend amongst the mountains.

It is a wonderful stayover with a grand view of the Gariep Dam. Staying here allows you to refresh on a long journey, take in some incredible views of the Gariep Dam, and experience a little history of South Africa. You have several ways to relax with amenities on-site, like the pool, hot tub, and restaurant.

What a great place! You enter another world: peaceful, magical, beautiful and special. What a view over the rainforest. Don’t miss the walk down into the forest but beware : it’s steep and it can get hot so carry water. A lot of things to do within 30 minutes: birds of Eden, elephants, beaches… And Benny is one of the nicest, coolest and most helpful host I ever met: we forgot something important at the lodge and he want the extra, extra mile to make sure we get it back in time before we fly back. An outstanding experience . Very peaceful . Three perfect hosts. Olaf has owned restaurants and is an excellent chef. Took us on Safari so we saw the caves and hippos surfacing just yards from us during lunch Don't be put off by the road. Google maps are correct, but say you are there 100 yards after the entrance on the right. Can't over praise the stay Frank

Lovely hosts. The stay was very relaxing and peaceful and we had a great new year's eve dinner with them.

Perfect postcard and not "only" a stop over night but a stunning and classy farm, full of charm and taste, not mentioning the kindness and care of Laura and of Jenny. The dinner was VIP and the breakfast too. The airbnb we want to see more! Highly recommended, zero default.

Idillic little spot, quiet and peaceful and right on the edge of natural forest, lots of bird and animal life around!

Stay was great. Outside shower, beautiful bathtub, warm bed and clean. swimming pools and all. close to town and cango caves. would be a great place for kids, too.

Beautiful location with lovely rivers, 3 swimming pools, children's jungle gyms, and rolling manicured lawns with lovely shady trees. Extremely good value for money. The rooms are simple but have everything you need - fans, aircon, kitchenette, porch with table and chairs etc. Would definitely recommend it!

Stunning loaction - practically on the beach!! We thouroughly enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere and friendly staff... we will be back!

Very lovely place, big and spacious. It’s a very private and isolated location which is great to unwind and reconnect with nature. Would highly recommend it for families, friends, couples and for solo travels

In the perfect location if you are wanting to go to the Cango Caves! The luxury riverside tents were just what we needed for our short but beautiful stay! Especially with the rains the river was flowing which was amazing to listen to at night! Highly recommend for a convenient and beautiful place to stay!
