We had a wonderful stay at Shafia’s place! We enjoyed the area and rode the Metro from the Franconia Springfield station into DC. This was a great place to come back to at the end of the day. Beds were comfortable and the space was perfect for us. (Girls’ Trip!) We visited AmThai close by, Mount Vernon, Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant, The Library of Congress (tickets in advance), Zaytinya (reservations), the National Portrait Gallery, Virtue Feed & Grain (reservations), Old Town Alexandria, Old Town Books, the Swiss Bakery nearby, Barca (reservations), and Tous Les Jours Bakery & Cafe. This is one of the best Airbnbs I’ve rented. Stayed at the property about 45 days and appreciated every moment. Not only was the apartment space clean with an amazing fragrance, but it was pretty quiet especially being a basement apartment. I worked overnights during my stay and was able to sleep during the day with no issues. The Springfield metro train is a 13 min uber ride (approximately $15.00) which takes you into DC if you don’t have transportation. The Springfield mall is also like 15 mins away and there’s nice restaurant, Mike Andersons, about 10 mins away. Luis and his wife were extremely nice and welcoming….like family. The neighbors were really nice as well. Highly recommended!
