Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Waikato

Our Family (2 Adults, 2 Children 5y & 3Y) had a fantastic stay. The location was quiet and close enough to everything. Beautiful Walking track 2 mins from the front door which feels very distant from the city location. The Pool, which is the perfect size for the property, is great for the kids and deep enough for adults to soak in, it also feels very safe with the fencing. The kid's rooms are perfect for children up to their teenage years and the master bedroom is comfortable and has a good view of the backyard (Tramp and Pool), allowing you to relax from inside and watch kids outside. Off-street parking is covered and easy to access and the living area and kitchen are all nice and family friendly. Thanks again for hosting us and we look forward to returning one day.

We had a group of 10 adults stay here for our wedding weekend. The house was so spacious and accommodated our group size well. The amenities offered made our stay comfortable and relaxing. The bride, bridesmaids and her family got ready for the wedding at the property. The house had stunning natural light and plenty of mirrors etc that made getting ready so easy. The lighting was also perfect our photographer to snap some amazing photos of us all getting ready. There was plenty of parking available on the street. And the host had provided us with lots of local food/activity recommendations. Would definitely recommend this stay!

Had a wonderful stay at this home, all beds very clean and comfortable. Stunning home decor, was cold this weekend in Taupo but so the heat pump was as handy. House was very clean and kitchen clean. I have two kids so having a washing machine and dryer was very helpful. Genuinely impressed with the house and would recommend booking with them! I will definitely consider booking this house again next time we visit Taupo.

House is nice and modern with a beautiful kitchen and bedrooms. It was very comfortable and Kimberly was very quick to respond.

We had everything we needed for a very comfortable and relaxing stay. The spa, sauna and ice bath were well used. There’s lots to do in the area and the General Store has great coffee, burger & chips. Natasha is a great host. She even managed to get the fridge quickly fixed on Easter weekend!

We had such memorable stay at Mary’s. Easy to find and so close to the lake. Beautifully decorated and so comfortable if felt like home. Mary gave us some great tips for local attractions and left us extra special treats just to make us feel welcome! Could not recommend highly enough.

The apartment was great. Very convenient location. The apartment is spacious, clean and modern with everything you need.

The perfect place for our family holiday. With two under 5 and this being our first family of 4 holiday it was a great comfort to arrive and see they'd put out items to help the kids ease into the new space. A kiddy table and chairs, toys, books. The extra touch was really appreciated and helped the kids feel at ease right away. The place was spotless. Couldn't fault it.

I really recommend staying at Barb's place, it's got everything you would need for a short or longer stay. There's lots to do in the area and Barb gave some great recommendations and helpful information. As a host Barb is the best I've ever had, fast response time, friendly and very helpful, she really goes above and beyond!

We loved staying here! We were able to communicate with the hosts with ease. The Airbnb is within walking distance of restaurants, grocery stores and everything in between. Irene is really accomodating and had come down to check on us to see if we needed anything which was nice. The facilities were great. Personally, the pictures don’t do the property justice! We were pleasantly surprised at how spacious and homely it was. Most definitely would stay here again if I’m in the area next time😊

So clean and tidy on arrival. The beds were so comfy and we slept so well. The location was amazing - a short walk to the beach and shops/restaurants. Would definitely return here!

Really enjoyed my stay. Lovely apartment overlooking the water. Despite the weather being foul, the apartment was warm and cosy and so easy to relax in. I was working all day away from the apartment but so good to come back each night and relax. Bed very comfortable and no ‘neighbour noise’ of any sort. Great responsive host who was easy to communicate with. Would throughly recommend 11/10!

Really enjoyed our stay at Cooks Beach. Easy walk to restaurant and beach very peaceful and friendly. Would come again.
