“My kiddo (9 years old) and I spend a few days in the Viroqua area every summer. This year we picked the “shipping container house” because he thought it looked cool. It was! The home had everything we needed, and the beds were comfy (including the pullout loveseat). I appreciated that firewood was provided for the chiminea. I also appreciated the super quick and awesome recommendation about where to go swimming. :)”
Our family lives and works in this historic tobacco warehouse close to downtown. Our guest suite, located on the middle floor of the warehouse, is quite mod but still bears vestiges of its historic past—a unique space in all of Viroqua!
“We had a lovely weekend at the Tobacco warehouse! Valorie is a wonderful host who has created a gorgeous and very comfortable place to stay while visiting viroqua. The location was perfect for exploring downtown and set up nicely for our group of four (two couples). We loved the book (and cookbook) selection and found the kitchen to be incredibly well stocked. We will be back!”
If you are looking for a cozy, romantic house with a beautiful view, welcome to the Qi (che) House, an artistic home made of whole trees. On Dark nights, the stars and Milky Way wow viewers; hiking trails, tracked ski trails, single track dirt bike trails and road biking thru Amish Country is excellent; trout fishing in the spring is just being discovered (shhh). Wild life and especially birds make the Kickapoo Reserve special! And yes, the kitchen is ready for your cooking adventures.
“This is a beautiful cabin, and I strongly encourage you to reserve a stay at this Airbnb. The place was very clean and comfortable, and well-stocked with cooking equipment, wine glasses, games, books, clothes hangers and a dryer ( the washer is currently not available but I believe that is not usually the case for guests ) whereas outdoors can be found beautiful flower and vegetable gardens that are next to a picnic table and a fire pit. We stayed here for several days during August, and were lucky enough to enjoy the fresh tomatoes, zucchinis, and herbs that were growing in the garden and available to hungry guests. We loved all the promised and unexpected perks that Theresa had thoughtfully provided us, whether it was cooking in the wonderfully equipped kitchen with its strong gas stove to sitting outside on the balcony during the nighttime to see all the stars in the dark sky that were not ruined by light pollution. The bed was very comfortable, and it is positioned so that you are facing the large windows and feel very integrated into nature. A great reservation for those who are looking to get away from the noises and stresses of cities and overly populated areas !”
