Heading to remote jungle lodge accommodation in Thailand, you never know quite what you're going to get.
Reviews often focus more on the cuteness of the pets, amiability of the host and breakfast.
So I'll try to keep it practical.

Pros
Green, forest setting. Close to nature.
Lots of nooks and crannies to chill.
pretty pool area.
Tranquil.
Attentive and interesting host.
Reasonably priced food and drink

Cons
Track is slippery in rain.
Dogs are good natured but need bath!
Mosquito net smelled a bit dusty

Overall, great place for adventurous types. probably makes more sense to get the bus and rent Simon's car at his very reasonable rates. If you're going to be bothered by gecko droppings on your bedside table, probably not for you.

Wer etwas Besonderes sucht und keine zu hohen Ansprüche an Sauberkeit und Luxus stellt, hat hier eine einmalige Unterkunft. Urig könnte man es nennen.
Simon ist Herr und Herz des Hauses. Kommunikativ, bemüht, hilfsbereit! Ein echter Gastgeber! Ich hab mich sehr wohlgefühlt dort!

what a beautiful place in the mountains, Simon, his dogs, and the team make you feel so welcome and give you space to take in the incredible buildings and surroundings.

I highly recommending taking the motorbike up the mountains towards the royal villa and beyond for winding roads and breathtaking views.
