Really amazing place, feels very authentic, very spacious and really clean! Would massively recommend staying for couples looking for a more authentic/luxurious place to stay as a treat

Yukiko’s place was just as described, and the photos accurately reflect the listing. One thing to keep in mind is that the space is quite compact—doorways, stairs, and walkways are narrow, so we found ourselves bumping elbows and knees occasionally. That said, I really loved the traditional aesthetic with subtle modern touches: tatami floors upstairs, sliding paper doors, lots of wood, and a cozy foot heater under the table. Just a heads-up for anyone with a sensitive nose—it does carry a bit of that classic “old house” smell. Location wise it is situated in a quiet neighborhood near Nijo Station (~10 min walk) and there are other Airbnb units that Yukiko has next door. So if you have a group of 4 or more, you could potentially book the unit next door too. Lastly, the in-house 2-in-1 washer and dryer machine was super handy! The machine was also labeled with English translation for easy operation. Would definitely consider booking again if we are in the area :)

Ich hatte eine fantastische Woche in dieser Unterkunft! Die Wohnung war sauber, gemütlich und genau wie in der Beschreibung – vielleicht sogar noch besser. Besonders gefallen haben mir die liebevollen Details in der Einrichtung und die ruhige Lage. Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war reibungslos, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich habe mich die ganzen sieben Tage über sehr wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Absolute Empfehlung – ich komme gerne wieder!

It was unusual experience to stay in a traditional, old Japanese, two story house. The host is very welcoming and helpful. We stayed 8 nights and enjoyed the ambiance of the place. The house is located in a quiet residential neighborhood close to the train station and a bus stop. The house is very clean and well equiped.

交通便捷 但鬧中取靜 周邊是生活化的社區 也有一些神社。寫說至多住五個人 但因為只有一個衛生間 五人還是會比較侷促。

We enjoyed our time at Akane’s place! During check in, she showed us around the house and taught us how to use the appliances, shower, etc., which was very helpful. The house was complete with all we needed. The massage chair and outdoor shower were added bonuses that we enjoyed! Akane was kind and very responsive to any questions we had. Her place was walking distance to Kyoto station, malls, restaurants and convenience stores!

Ume's place was a fantastic place for our time in Kyoto. It's far enough away to be quiet yet close enough to grab a quick train (3 minute walk, 2 minute ride) to the nearest station for things like Gion and Nishiki. it's only about a ten minute walk from Kyoto station as well. Ume was a great host, giving recommendations, checking in with us a couple of times throughout our trip, etc. Do note the stairs are a tad narrow (not uncommon for Japan) so if you've got mobility concerns keep that in mind though there is a bedroom on the lower floor as well to help with that. would definitely stay here again.

房间非常干净整洁，适合朋友多人共同游玩居住；离乌丸九条地铁站需步行十分钟路程，但地段安全宁静；房东热情友善且沟通回复及时，是一次非常好的入住体验！

房子的位置很舒服 周边京都氛围非常好 走路可以到达金阁寺 美中不足的是和室窗户外正对着隔壁的路灯 晚上睡觉时非常亮

Super logement! 15 min à pieds de la gare. Bus très proche au besoin. Suffisamment spacieux pour 2 couples, une salles d’eau, une salle de bain, 2 toilettes séparés, une grande cuisine conviviale. Tout cela permet de bien vivre sans se marcher dessus! Séjour très agréable. Je recommande.

It was a great stay in Kyoto and my wife wishes to come back to the same house in the future! Most of the hotel rooms in Japan are small, which is very inconvenient for family. My son is 16, but he is taller than me already. We always want to find spacious place to fit us in. Airbnb became the first choice for our family trip. The place is exactly as described, clean and convenient. The stairs to the 2nd floor is a bit steep, but you will get used to it after several up and down trip. The neighborhood is very quiet. Walkable distance to Kyoto Station, Watson, and 7-Eleven. The only drawback might be the location, which is close to Kyoto Station but a bit far from the city center of attractions. We took taxi very day, and everything is within 15-20mins drive.

Exactly what we needed after the last few weeks in hotels. It made us feel like we were locals for that moment. Everything is 10mins walk away and you’re close to the river for those sunrise/ sunset walks.

we had a great stay, we felt comfortable, we slept well. it was nice to stay in and experience japanese traditional living space. bed was comfortable, heater and heated floor rug kept us warm during the colder weather. space was nice and plenty for the 5 of us. locationwise was great since it was just 2-3 minutes walk to the train station and less than 10 minutes walk to Fushimi Inari shrine entrance. Sorrounding neighborhood was so peaceful. we loved it!

J’ai passé un merveilleux séjour dans cet appartement traditionnel, qui m’a permis de saisir quelque chose de l’essence même de la sensibilité japonaise — dans son rapport à l’espace, à l’harmonie et à l’esthétique. Minimaliste et raffiné, le lieu dégage une grande sérénité. Je ne me lassais pas d’observer les détails de l’agencement, des décorations, des objets choisis avec soin. L’hôte a également fait preuve d’une grande hospitalité et d’une attention discrète mais précieuse tout au long du séjour. Le quartier est un peu excentré, mais très bien desservi par les transports.

Lovely stay with a large group. We all had plenty of space and felt right at home! Great location - walkable to so many sights and in a super quiet neighborhood. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Eine tolle Wohnung in der Nähe der Mitte von Kyoto. 13 min bis Kyoto Station und 7 bis Gojo. Ich kann es nur empfehlen.

非常干净宽敞的旅馆，东西很齐全，楼下巨大的桌子非常实用，小庭院也很漂亮。旅馆离京都站蛮近的，家门口不远处也有公交站台，去哪里都很便捷，和伙伴们在这里居住6天没有什么不便利的地方，体验很好~（需要改进的地方也是有一点的，1.牙膏太小了只够一天的量，住多天的话需要自备牙膏。2.朝南的房间靠近马路，偶尔会有摩托车凌晨噪音袭击，建议可以准备一副耳塞~）

Had a wonderful stay. The location is great, very convenient to Higashiyama’s best walking neighborhoods. Loved the charm of the alleyway leading to the property and quiet setting. Nice layout inside.

とても泊まりやすく清潔でした、ホストさんの対応も丁寧でした。

入住的时候出现了点困难，根据谷歌地址到达后怎么也打不开钥匙盒，随后步行百米才找到正确的房屋。选择这家的理由是因为装修风格特别符合我的审美，实际跟图片一模一样。美中不足的是，室内有很多巨大的蚂蚁，希望可以改善。周围很安静，适合睡眠不好的人，几十米就有便利店和超市。

House is just perfect, very clean, great organized, extreamly cozy. we loooved to stay here a lot!!!! love it! would highly reccomend!😊😊
