Really nice cottage, master bedroom absolutely lovely and although the second bedroom is not huge, it’s perfectly fine for a few days. Well equipped and nice outdoor space. Great location to walk into the town. The only drawback is loud traffic noise from the main road outside from early in the morning which was very noticeable with the window open in warm weather.

Good accomodation in a good location. Quite impersonal but everything worked well and location was brilliant.

Would recommend Andrew’s cottage was spot on, very nice place to stay great views and everything worked fine. Andrew is also at hand to help and goes above and beyond

Gill was so welcoming and responsive to any enquiries we had. The photos don't do justice on how spacious the place is - we were wowed when we arrived. Peaceful stay and a very well kitted out place with everything we needed, even stair gates, children's plates and cups, high chair and a travel cot for the children. Gill even let the kids ride her pony and stroke and say hello to her other horses! A relaxing stay with lots of lovely memories made for the children. Would absolutely recommend, and we will be back to stay again. Thank you Gill x

Beautiful house with lots of social space.

Four of us have just spent 3 nights in Peewit Cottage. From the moment we arrived, we all felt right at home, the place was spotless, beds very comfortable too! Everything you could possibly need for a self catering stay was provided. Having the private hot tub was fabulous, we loved it after full days of being tourists in the local area. On a separate note, we would highly recommend a visit to Beamish Museum which was about a 30 min drive, we also spent a day in Durham City & booked a 2.5 hr History/City Tour with walkaboutdurham - highly recommended. Tour Guide Peter is very knowledgeable & so passionate about his job plus he gives everyone a "free" cocktail voucher for Turtle Bay - well deserved after 2.5hrs walking around the City 🤣🤣

Lovely accommodation and fantastic facilities. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub, outdoor kitchen, pool/table tennis table, swings, slides, trampoline and the large dining area. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Special is an adjective often misused. Not in this case. Perfect for nature lovers, seaside to the east, national park to the west. Lots to see and do in the area. The Boathouse was a delightful, comfortable and peaceful retreat.

A fantastic stay in a lovely home in a quiet small village. The host communicated well and was welcoming into their property. The home has been finished to a high standard and makes for a perfect get away or quiet retreat. Highly recommend and definitely somewhere I’d stay again, thank you for allowing me to stay in your lovely property.

Such a lovely space and great place. Katie is very welcoming and makes the best flapjack! So nice to have a few basics in when we got there, just to make a cuppa etc. Corbridge and surrounding areas are beautiful and so much history. Great food available in many places and gluten free, veggie etc easy to find. very switched on place. Thank you Katie, we'll see you again.

A beautiful, clean and homely place. The beds are very comfy, lovely soft towels. Plenty of hot water, we did put the heating on for a couple of hours on a couple of evenings, as the weather was quite chilly, the house heated up quickly and stayed warm. The flowers were a very nice touch, and thank you for the cookies, the 3 of us enjoyed them. The neighbours are very nice and friendly too. Thank you both for letting us use your home. Seaglass Cottage in Newbiggin-By-The-Sea is literally by the sea within stone’s throw from the beach - a beautiful sandy beach it is too. It was also central to all the other beautiful places we were planning to visit in Northumberland. The cottage was larger than we had expected, fully equipped with absolutely everything you needed and more, thoughtfully planned, with natty ‘hands on’ additions that you wouldn’t normally expect, all adding up to a comfortable and cosy stay. Lucy herself was very approachable, easily contactable if needs be, putting us at ease so we could get on with making our visit a really memorable one. Returning from a day out, it was like coming home! In the end, we were sorry to leave.

A really lovely property in a very central location within a quiet seaside town. Very handy for pubs, restaurants, beach, park and shops - couldn't ask for more.

A smart, stylish, well appointed, immaculate and very comfortable house in which to stay with plentiful heating, hot water and splendid view across the beach of Newbiggin. Nancy was keen to ensure that our stay was enjoyable and provided all that we needed.

The cottage is such a lovely peaceful place to be. We felt right at home and loved it staying there. The walk down by the lake is beautiful and the cottage is a great distance from hadrians wall. We would definitely stay again!

There is only one negative thing that we can write about our stay at Poppy Cottage and that is to say we wished we could have stayed longer!! Alison and Dawn were excellent hosts, the cottage was amazing - immaculately clean and spacious with everything you could need in the kitchen and living room and a very decent sized garden for the dog to run around and for us to get our paddleboards set up or even just to sit and relax on an evening. Across the road and less than 400m away is one of the most gorgeous beaches on the Northumberland coast and it was so easy to access. The cottage was warm and welcoming - the red velvet cake and fresh milk was a lovely touch - and we used this as a base to have some time in Amble and Alnwick, but to be honest spent most of our time on the beach, including one absolutely stunning sunset. Our family of four (plus dog) can't recommend Poppy Cottage enough and we really hope we get to come back again one day for a longer visit.

The Old Workshop was an excellent place to stay. It was beautifully appointed, warm and cozy and we didn't even use the wood burner because the property was warm enough. It was set in grounds so that once in the property it felt wonderfully private. Two couples can easily share this property whilst each have space to themselves. Corbridge was a great place to eat out - we didn't have to wander any further. Corbridge also well positioned for a great variety of attractions for day visits. I would most definitely return to the old Workshop.

I cannot recommend Seahorse Cottage highly enough. Lorna was absolutely brilliant from the off, keeping us constantly updated. The cottage is absolutely amazing. Lorna and her family have done it out to an incredibly high standard. Words can’t really do it justice. Would definitely stay there again.

Rose cottage is quiet and cosy , tastefully decorated and spotless, it’s equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay

Harnham hall is a lovely old cottage and was the perfect place for our family get together. The children loved the animals - particularly the chickens & peacocks and we loved pottering along the country roads. The house itself was clean and very well equipped! John even left us a lovely cake and bread. Thank you!

We enjoyed a short weekend stay, lovely place in quiet surroundings. Great as a base to local area, with plenty to do in the region. Would visit again! Had a great time!
