The Ionic coast and the célèbre town of Gallipoli are just 10 minutes away by car, while in 30 minutes you will reach the Adriatic coast, home of Otranto, Santa Maria di Leuca (also called finibus terrae i.e. end of the earth), Santa Cesarea Terme (with its wonderful SPA) and lots of other great locations. The Venturi family offers you the possibility to stay in an 80 sqm apartment built with typical local stones (pietra leccese) and fresco ceilings, recently renovated and with air conditioning made up with living room, a little kitchen with every confort, chimney, double bedroom, bathroom with bidet and a studio couch bed if you would like to stay in 4. We provide sheets and towels. The apartment is located inside the Ducal Palace of Tuglie, which was built in the XVIII century and is now divided in two parts, both owned by the Venturi family: - the residential one, where the apartments are; - the ancient servants’ wing, which in 1982 became Museum of the Salento rural culture (http://www.tuglie.com/museo.asp) The Venturi family will be happy to provide you with valuable hints in order to enjoy at best the experience of Salento. We spent a few really nice days at the Martha guest house. The cottage is located on a large property with lots of greenery, the center of which is a great pool. There are enough loungers and umbrellas available, so that there is no shortage even when the other buildings are occupied. The room is very nicely furnished with everything necessary. It has a small kitchenette with all the necessary utensils. Cooking would have been possible without any problems, but we did not do it. In the town of San Pietro, there is everything you need, including a beautiful beach. There are real supermarkets and other restaurants in the district town. Giovanna has compiled a pdf with all the important information. Be sure to read it. We enjoyed it very much. Thank you

Charming village home. Feels like stepping back in time but with excellent hot water and a comfortable bed. Cold rosé and taralli were a welcome surprise. House is stocked with beach towels, coffee, drinking water, and assortment of oil and vinegar. Lovely roof terrace with a sea view and a place to tuck out of the tramontana winds to watch the sky change candy colors at sunset or sunrise. Just up the hill from my favorite swim spot, this quiet little town doesn’t have much but with Tulsi Shop for all your summer Indian cotton dress needs, a well stocked COOP for groceries, and Eutopia cafe for tasty meals and vino, it’s perfect. Great location to explore the greater area. Already looking forward to my return and will stay here again, if I’m lucky enough to catch an open window. 💖🙏🏼🌸 Thank you!

Mirko and Sharon are extremely warm people and hosts. You can feel how much love the house and the property were designed with. The living/dining area is a great place to relax with huge floor-to-ceiling windows and views of the ocean. There are many seating and lounging areas on the property; everyone will find the right place for themselves. The kitchen is excellently equipped. Mirko and Sharon gave us a lot of valuable tips for exploring the area as well as for restaurants, which we would also recommend without hesitation. As a starting point for diverse places in Puglia, Urmo is perfect; a historic place nearby is better than the next. We'll be back.

Luca,s place is perfect if your looking for a base to explore south Puglia. The property is beautiful, surrounded by views of the towns, pomegranate trees and potted plants. The room is perfect size, bed is comfortable and kitchen easy to use.
