Cottage vacation rentals in Tornado Alley

We stayed here 3 nights over spring break as a family of 6. I gave this a 5 star review, as the host is very responsive, and property was generally as described. The location is pretty tucked away, and we appreciated the seclusion for some quiet family time. The hot tub was amazing, and the ample number of beds was great. The kids loved the detached game room! A few caveats/feedback: -the floors could definitely be cleaner. We ended up all having to wear house shoes full time bc our feet were getting grimy just walking around the house. -the extra toilet paper was great, as was the shampoo/conditioner/body wash provided. -I would not recommend this location for kids under 6 years old (the age of our youngest) due to the steep outdoor steps and lack of railing down to the water. Not necessarily dangerous- just not ideal for little ones. -the deck/patio area is huge and very nice for lounging. Not the best kept in regard to light fixtures/cleanliness, but functional. Overall awesome!!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Rochelle’s place! It was so beautiful and inviting, with simple personal touches that made us feel right at home! It was our wedding night and we couldn’t have had a better time. Thank you guys so much for being so responsive and making our special evening so incredible!

This place is amazing. Don't let the exterior fool you! For a trip of 5 people, this place had more than enough space and was perfect for us. It has ample space to gather together as a family and do things due to the spacious kitchen and living room area and the many amentities provided. I can't harp enough on the plethora of wonderful amenities. There is something for everyone and that really made our trip wonderful! Some swings for the kids and huge outdoor space to run around, bean bag toss and frisbee along with other indoor table top games, a fire pit for the pyros, hot tub for those who want to get into some water, and ample opportunity to watch tv on multiple different TVs in the rooms. The charcoal grill was also a really nice thing to have for grilling if you want. Plenty of supplies in the kitchen to make food to eat, too. The location is on point as well: right across the street from Lake Thunderbird State Park! Genuinely an amazing airbnb for any trip you take.

Wish we would’ve had more time, but we had just driven in for graduation. This was extremely relaxing after driving in the car for six hours .

This was our second stay at this lovely home. The host is friendly and responsive. The home is beautifully decorated and stocked with basic essentials for an easy and comfortable stay. Clean and cozy!

My best friend and I had the most amazing stay at this cozy, artsy Airbnb in the heart of the Bishop Arts District! The space was peaceful, beautifully decorated, and full of charm. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the hot tub was the perfect way to unwind after exploring. We loved being able to walk to all the great restaurants, shops, and nightlife — but some of our favorite moments were just relaxing on the deck with a cup of coffee, soaking in the quiet. If you’re looking for the perfect mix of energy and relaxation, this is it. We can’t wait to come back!

So cute! My kids loved it too. Big upstairs loft ,with a nice bathroom . 4 Beds upstairs and 2 downstairs. Spacious living room. You open the door, you are looking right at the beautiful water. The dock is perfect for fishing and enjoying the day. The space was clean and ready. We had a great time. thank you ! 🫶

David's place was clean and had everything I needed for an excellent night's stay. Arrived there after a long day of driving so it was great to have an easy check in. Got some good ribs at Billy Simm's in a nearby shopping center, brought them back to David's, and ate them on the picnic table in the spacious and private backyard. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need if you were staying longer and wanted to make some meals. Bed was comfortable. Would definitely stay here again if I'm passing through New Mexico.

This was a great property to stay at. I loved the atmosphere and the charm of the property. I would highly recommend staying there to experience it yourself.

Loved it! I will definitely be back. This is great if you're a writer or love the outdoors, or just want a getaway right in the middle of busy DFW! Clean and comfortable, with the beautiful lake right out your front door, what more could you ask for?

This was our 4th time staying here. It's the perfect location to stay near family. Since we have two indoor dogs, we don't want to inconvenience family by staying with them. It's comfortable, clean, has laundry and a kitchen, and in a cute, quiet town. We will continue to stay here in the years to come. Thank you for having this place, Lisa!

Great location. Lake was visible from the backyard and it was calming after a long day at work.

The place was very nice!! Very peaceful and quiet, Also Everything was spotless and clean! The host also let us check in a bit earlier which we are very grateful for!!! Very responsive as well and friendly!!! Even helped us with directions to the place!! Definitely a nice place stay & well worth!

This place is a happy house...i just couldnt stop looking at all the delightful pretties inside and out...a castle in Italy could not compare....its hand crafted pretties, extra goodies, lil fireplace, and decor envelops you with peace that creates an ambiance of pure tranquility....i did not want to leave... Tiny has other houses also with the same impeccable qualities...just cozy and homey....and everything is done by hand... Simply lovely...

Our family truley enjoyed our stay. A very peaceful getaway, the grandkids had lots of fun. Susan responded quickly to any questions I had. I look forward to returning.

My husband and I have stated here when we want to get away from the hustle and bustle of our big family and very busy life.
