Excellent place, one of the best AirBnBs I have stayed in. Hector goes out of his way to make guests feel comfortable, and the place is even more impressive once you’re there. The pool and the backyard are great after a busy day in Merida!

If you’re looking for a peaceful and relaxing place, this is the one. The atmosphere was serene, and the pool was a perfect way to enjoy the tropical weather. Cecilia was an incredibly accommodating host, making sure we had everything we needed. The property was clean, though it’s a bit far from downtown if you’re planning to walk. Other than that, it was an awesome stay, and we highly recommend it!.

The house was amazing. We loved everything about it and tried to make the most out of all of the space. The only thing we didn't love was the sand by the pool, but did our best to leave it there and not track it into the house. Greg was a great host and always very responsive. Unfortunately we had to cut our trip short due to a hurricane, but we enjoyed our stay and look forward to our next visit to Merida.

NEWLY RESTORED HOUSE “Casa Lohr” with private pool

After months of narrowing down different locations to elope in, I ultimately landed on Casa Lohr for the simple, elegant decor. My photographer stayed in the main house while we had the main room in the back. The house is a dream. The pool is an absolute must for the September heat and I wouldn’t have changed anything.

Camila and Ricardo were wonderful hosts. They helped us navigate some rain-flooded streets when we arrived, accommodated us through some panicked moments, and made great recommendations. We embarrassingly lost the house key while out dancing at La Negrita one night (highly recommend) and they drove over and brought us a new one at 11 pm. The house itself is as charming as the photos. The courtyard is a little luxurious oasis, and even in October the dipping pool was a perfect respite from the heat. The split bedroom design (one in the front, one in the back of the courtyard) offer a lot of privacy if you’re traveling with as a couple or with a group. Merida is so charming and down to earth, explored best by walking. The house is located just outside the busy (and more densely touristy) parts of Centro, but it’s all within 20 minutes on foot. There’s an artsy cafe and bar called Cafe Lavé a block away with amazing coffee — as well as tiendas and taquerías within a stone’s throw.

BEYOND EXPECTATIONS!! This amazing house, with its 30 foot ceilings, beautiful Spanish tiles, magnificent courtyard with swimming pool was the perfect place to stay while in Merida. Walking distance to downtown, or a quick Uber ride to some of the best restaurants, nightlife or attractions in the area. The welcome guide had tips and advice to help enjoy the most out of our stay- from local cultural events, to helpful recommendations to great brunch spots (highly recommend Soco). Best choice ever.

The place is clean, comfortable, safe, we loved it because it has everything to spend a few very relaxed days, the pool is good size, there was hot water, the facilities are impeccable and the bed super comfortable. The place is located near downtown and in general we really liked everything, Dayane was very clear with the instructions and when there was doubt he responded quickly.

We spent a lovely and relaxing 2 nights in Tecoh. Susana was very helpful and provided clear arrival instructions as well as local reccomendations. The house is small but fine for 2 people and had everything you need, shampoo, cleaning materials, towels for the pool and for cenotes and so on. We also enjoyed using the bbq :-) The pool was huge and a great place to relax. We loved meeting Susana's dogs who were really friendly, but she asked beforehand if we were nervous about dogs and would have put them out of the way if necessary which was very thoughtful. I would definitely recommend this air b n b and Susana was a really friendly and helpful host.

It was very quiet, peaceful and private. The bed was very comfortable, and the showers were hot. The location was close to the park and restaurants, in easy walking distance. I had a lovely stay. I would definitely stay at Oswaldo’s oasis again.
