Ski-in/Ski-out vacation rentals in Telemark

The property is absolutely stunning, only topped by the amazing views! The home is beautifully nestled into the rock and natural surroundings. Consequently, the views from the hot tub and the sauna are breathtaking. During our stay, we had excellent sunny weather and enjoyed daily. Hikes: either directly from the home or within a 30 minute car drive. The house itself is well laid out and the kitchen has everything you need for six people. It never felt crowded, except occasionally the two lounge chairs from which you could view the valley, as we sometimes fought over who gets to sit in them… 😊 There is a small grocery store just down the mountain within a 15 minute drive. It is well stocked but a bit expensive. For us this was a perfect vacation as we just wanted to enjoy nature and relax. Beyond that, there really isn’t much to do as there are neither museums nor cultural points of interest. During the winter time, this obviously is a prime skiing location.

Great cabin, great host!

Excellent house near the ski slope at the bottom of the mountain. That also means that during the day the sun does not shine on the terraces. The house is well decorated, feels comfortable when it has warmed up (it was -23C) and was spacious enough for the six people we were with. Two cars fit well with the house. The road was kept neatly snow-free. There were no appliances broken, everything was tidy and we would book it again. Great place, good host, nothing to complain about.

Very nice host.

This is truly a great cabin with everything you could dream of! Definitely proper people who own this castle of a cabin, because here there were clever and great details everywhere, and very modern. There were 6 of us on a trip, and all the young people and adults and the 6 year old found their zones where they relaxed, enjoyed their holiday and were able to settle! We checked out the sauna by a small pond one of the days and it was really cozy. Only 10 minutes walk from the cabin. Otherwise, we had lots of Easter activities and cooked delicious food. The sun was also on our side, so we were outside grilled on the fire pit. Here we would love to come back! Thank you very much for us🤗

Super nice house, very nice light and spacious and super clean with nice facilities

We stayed with two families, 4 adults and 4 children, in this beautiful house. We felt very comfortable. The house was handed over to us very clean and the amenities were also top. There are enough plates, pans, etc. We stayed at the house over New Year's Eve and got both very cold days and some snow. The house is very well prepared for this. Despite the hillside location, the path to the house is also easily accessible in snow, as it is cleared by a snow blower several times a day. The sauna and hot tub are real highlights even in winter. We explored the surroundings for walking and sledding. We had a really great few days and would be happy to come back to this beautiful house.

Great cabin and place to stay at Hovden

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The place was very spacious, quiet and peaceful. Wonderful surroundings. The host was responsive and friendly. Would definitely visit again!

Great stay at Rauland, a little bit colder than the rest of south Norway, but central towards many interesting spots around. Good communicating and friendly host.

Perfect place for a short stay with 2-3 guests. Nice view and clean. Only remark is maybe the one small cutting board and very blunt small knife which makes cooking a fresh meal a bit of a bother. Still, good place to stay with a friendly host!

Had a wonderful stay in natural and quiet surroundings. In addition, we were very well taken care of by Anne and her mother after a small family accident, who deserve some extra attention.😇 We would gladly came back!

This cabin is just wonderful and our 2 families had an excellent stay. You can walk/ ski to the piste easily and there’s a great space for learners just there. Everything you need including a really good drying room/ store & sauna is there & the kitchen is well equipped and there’s games etc too. There is parking for 2 cars. The beds were comfy and the bathrooms lovely- we would all like to come back one day. Gausta is a small resort good for all types of skiing but also has a lovely hotel with great floating sauna/ bar. We drove to the telemark husky company at rauland ski area and stopped at a great cafe with huge snow play area on the way- would definitely recommend as a day out! Eric’s place was great- and he was super helpful

My son and his partner rented the cabin at Rauland for a nice weekend in May. They were very pleased with everything, both the cabin and the location. They are happy to rent it again.

Everything was great. I was a little surprised that we had to have our towels and bedding, but we got ready and took it with us. Everything was great. The Jacuzzi was already waiting for us hot and did not have to wait a few hours to warm up as often as you can meet in other homes. Cool house for grilling. Everything you needed in the house. There were also clear instructions for the accommodation.

A great and traditional cabin with a very beautiful location. Everything you need with a practical space solution and a lovely view over the water. I was worried that my car was too low on the way in after the gate, but it was no problem. (Model 3) The cabin is cozy and nicely decorated! Just my taste for a Norwegian cabin! One has a full kitchen. The bathroom and toilet are separate so both can be used at the same time. There is a parking space for 2 maybe 3 cars right outside, but definitely more along the road. Oxana is very quick to respond and sent all the info in good time, very nice! I definitely recommend staying here for that price, if it's available. I was here in late spring without snow. Thank you very much for the loan! 😊

It was a good stay. The beds were really comfortable and the wifi was the best we've had in any airbnb. There were too many personal items for our liking though (only 2 empty drawers in main bedroom etc), but other than that, it's a really nice place.

We had a great trip to Knut Erling's cabin and the view of Gaustatoppen was amazing. We would gladly came back!
