Vacation rentals in Strada in Casentino

We loved our stay in David’s apartment. Great spot in the middle of everything and a great place to bring a family. Having continuous hot water along a washer and dryer a plus. David was a wonderful host. Would recommend!!

We had a fantastic time at this apartment, it is as grand as it looks in the photos!! Very comfortable beds, lovely lounge area. Great location to dry out after getting soaked in the rain! Excellent location, two minutes from lots of very good cafes and restaurants and a daily market in the square. Easy walk to the main centre and 5 minutes from the Pitti Palace! Elly communicated throughout and made sure we checked in safely as our flight was delayed. We would definitely stay again!

This little hamlet was ideal for a group of several families wanting a Tuscan holiday. Christina was a very responsive host, always available for help and suggestions. One down side was the distance from many of the Tuscan attractions such as Florence and Sienna. The hamlet is reasonably remote so is ideal for those who want a secluded holiday rather than those who want to see the sights of Tuscany.

Stefano and Roberta are two of the most absolute intrepid souls you will ever encounter. Their hospitality and generosity is without equal. Smartly appointed and expertly renovated, this exquisite example of an ancient farmhouse sits atop a stunning ridge line with vast views and expansive mountain scenery inspiring and enchanting at every turn. Right in the heart of Tuscany, this spectacular piece of the Italian wonderland does not disappoint!

We spent two weeks at Livio's villa. It is a beautiful place, very well taken care of, nicely furnished, comfortable and with all the useful amenities for a family stay. Very clean, comfortable beds, in a quiet park, surrounded by large trees which provided a nice shade in the hot summer days. There is no AC, but we did not feel it was necessary, even with 35 degrees outside. Th walls are thick and keep a nice coolness. It is very conveniently situated, 25 km from Florence, little distance to most interesting places in Chianti region. We traveled a lot, every day and managed to visit most of the region within day trips. There is a supermarket 8 km away and a local store (fresh bread, good salami and other necessary items for breakfast and quick meals) within walking distance. Very nice restaurants in the area, reachble by car. As a plus, a beautiful sunset view from the terrace of the park. In few words, it was perfect for our family with two children. We are 2 couples in our early 60s. We adored the home. The surrounds and views sublime. We cooked and loved sitting in kitchen as sun set. Ahhhh. We enjoyed a drink in village at a little store. Our favourite meal was at Nazionale (book or you won’t get in). The lady there is areal character you will get to like her. The agricento restaurant also good. Coop had groceries. The village of Radicondolli is just beautiful. We drove to many places from there. Siena, san Gin, the Terma Antica ….. ( warm mineral waters with spa) nice to be spoilt. Try the other small villages around Radicondoli, we did better than larger ones, like castle d’elsa. Fabulous museum. Our hosts Francesca and Lorenzo were welcoming and met us on arrival. Each room was well separated with ensuite each room. Kitchen fully appointed. Italian coffee pot (buy you ground coffee at coop in town), some basic condiments. Roomy showers, one bath, lots of room to spread out. Herbs in garden.

We spent a glorious and relaxing week at Sarchianello and could not recommend it more. The location was perfect for day trips to local places like Siena and Montalcino, and it was the ideal place to return to for an evening of eating and drinking. We loved our stay and were sorry to leave! It truly felt like a home away from home.

Perfect location - could not select a more beautiful setting. Il Paluffo manages to feel luxurious and green as well as rustic with modern comforts all at the same time. The location is stunning - pictures do not do it justice. Il Paluffo is tastefully decorated, intimate with lots of amenities, and unique offerings. There was a cooking class offered while we were there! This is a truly unique and magical place, the perfect Tuscany experience.
